you're in my mind half the time
tryin to find someone to hide behind
and still they poured right in on you
and everyday you try to walk away
from the stupid things they say
they say just to hurt you

chorus:
im singin baby
i know you know
that when the musics pumpin
and the lights are low
you become become someone else

well i gotta pay respect
where respect is due
i aint never seen a woman
who can move like you
i said i gotta pay respect
where respect is due
i aint never seen a woman
who can move like you

chorus

i feel it burnin from my soul
and it takes me higher
baby theres no reason to control
i dance with my desire
you're in my mind half the time
tryin to find someone to hide behind
and still they poured right in on you
and everyday you try to walk away
from the stupid things they say
they say just to hurt you

chorus

I really like this track. He has a distinct style that I just love. His voice and the way he sings. Got a great rhythm.
I keep hearing this voice on RP and having to check to see who it is. I can\'t help but like the guy as \"uncool\" as that may be. I always feel sorry for artists like Shawn whose careers have been nearly ruined by the record companies or syndicated radio overplaying one or two cuts.
I could probably tolerate this song if I didn\'t recognize Shawn\'s voice. RockABye and Shimmer have completely ruined any chance of this man getting above a 5 vote from me. /shudder
see... now this is the thing that is the real pisser.. everyone got on the \"hate shawn mullins\" bandwagon for the other song that was over played everywhere.. where as the stations I listned to didn\'t play him that much.. and to hear his music on Radio Paradise.. I think it fits very nicely.. especially since RP isn\'t playing every track one after the other.. and they aren\'t playing it 50 times a day because some stupid record company wants them to plug the album.. etc... which is where and when music should be played.. for enjoyment and entertainment.. not to hawk your wares on the public 24/7. If the music is good enough to be sold, people will want to run out and buy it to hear it when they want, not relying on a radio station (of any medium) to give them their hourly fix of that artist.. if the record companies *EVER* understood that, they might finally ease up on having digital streaming music.

Yes, but it's a good tune he's singing on. I can see your point and too much of this would piss me off like nothing else, but it's rather nice in small doses. I think I'll give it a seven. :)
This whole style (if it warrants being called a style) has degenerated into artists like Shawn Mullins, uninspired and boring.
Sounds like they\'ve almost put the mike down into his throat. Soulful and sexy. Like Prince has got something to do with it.
my first time to hear this, i like this song! nice groove. miamizsun.
