This is awful and goes on forever :-(
OK, this is twice in two days that RP has played a song out of my "Best Ever" list -- songs that I thought I had the only remaining copies on the planet. Is someone sneaking into my playlists?

For those of you old enought to remember, this song is basically "Almost Cut my Hair' from that first great CSNY album. Decent re-tread, but a re-tread nonetheless.
True, but this still works on its own. Be good top-down driving through the desert at night music.
Hello: This does very little for me...loud and boring. Sincerely, Neil

"If I Could Only Remember My Name"...easily top 3 of my Desert Island Discs! A real treasure out there for people to "rediscover" for the first time. This live version sounds pretty good, though Crosby's voice is not what it once was.
You are on target there! Nice B-3 and guitar solo work, though.

Not really - also this version isn't as good as the original. It is really a rip of Neil's Down By The River.
Crosby was hilarious on Al Franken's Show yesterday. Very quick wit, which surprised me.

Great catch. Pretty dull then, pretty dull now - only this drones on a lot longer..............

Exactly. And I always thought Almost Cut My Hair was the weakest song on that album.
Go Dave GO!!! Love that hammond in there.

I was driving down Hwy 1 with Cowboy Movie playing on my all chrome Muntz 8 track when I was broad sided by a drunk coming out of Trancus. Slow motion wreck with this in the background. Car was a total loss but music never stopped. David has his problems but he does capture So Cal in the 70\'s. I love him.
And here I thought he just freebased.
oh jeez.....this came out when I was born? It could pass as new song to me. I like the sound from around that time and I still hear it in music now. This ain't bad :) Well I read that wrong. '95 and nice album title come back after the '71 album. :D
I always thought that Crosby\'s contributions to CSN&Y and CSN were the best. I still think that. But this piece is just tiresome, in my opinion.

I read an interview with Crosby after Jerry Garcia died, he was remembering a session he\'d had with Garcia that involved some big sticky buds, in which the epiphany of the evening was that the most entertaining musicians are great storytellers...
What can be said about David\'s music that hasn\'t been said....The word I could come up with is \"Most Excellent\" *** Smile - The world needs it more today.........JG :)
I\'ve never been a big fan of David Crosby, but maybe I should be... sounds great!
Sorry to go against the grain, but blah! I really don\'t care for David Crosby\'s voice. It\'s harsh and unpleasant to me. The melody is average, too. Good players, but boring song.
The legend continues...
David\'s voice still sounds great after all these years. So clear and sweet.
