Long as I remember
The rain been comin' down
Clouds of myst'ry pourin'
Confusion on the ground
Good men through the ages
Tryin' to find the sun
And I wonder
Still I wonder
Who'll stop the rain

I went down Virginia
Seekin' shelter from the storm
Caught up in the fable
I watched the tower grow
Five-year plans and new deals
Wrapped in golden chains
And I wonder
Still I wonder
Who'll stop the rain

Heard the singers playin'
How we cheered for more?
The crowd had rushed together
Tryin' to keep warm
Still the rain kept pourin'
Fallin' on my ears
And I wonder
Still I wonder
Who'll stop the rain

I'm from Sydney, there's no rain like Sydney rain!

I cannot listen to this band. Always grasping for the skip button when they come on. Nearly as bad as chewing on a blue-ringed octopus.

Your wife leave you for a CCR fan?

"As bad" would be what?

sorry....that thumbs down was a total accident! :)

In the title, and on the music tracks:

Masterpiece. Beauty, power and sadness.

so many versions of this tune but the CCR original still #1 for me.
I see what you are doing.  Virus themed tunes.  Love it.  Reminds me of KMPX and KSAN in San Francisco in the late 60s.  Where is Big Daddy Tom Donahue and his merry band of pranksters, when we really need them? Their spirit is here on RP.

Trust the music.  The answers are there.

Stay calm for sure.
Used in a '78 movie with the same name starring Nick Nolte and based on Robert Stone's novel "Dog Soldiers."

Yes.  Perfect in its simplicity; emotionally stirring.
What great work this band put out in those few years together, all 20 tracks on the Chronology greatest hits record are recognizable, and even most of the 2nd batch of 20....can't say that about many bands not called the beatles.  Long Live RP!!
Oh...I'm at a 9 on this one...great stuff!

CCR, never gets old. Try Terri Gibbs, Some Days It rains All Night Long.
Probably my favourite CCR track, great in-car music, it always seems too short.
I love the musical arrangement, especially the drummer seems to be having FUN! {#Drummer}

This is GOOD
for those of you new to ccr, check out john fogerty's premonition cd from 1998.
The greatest track from a great band
Very nice...following Buddy Guy\'s \"Feels Like Rain\" and Marc Cohn\'s \"The Rainy Season.\" Is it raining in Paradise, CA right now?
