Waiting for May to come
Hoping for the rain
A memory held too long
Just another day
Oh, what it could be
Oh, what a dream to me
Memory burned and gone
A multicolored grey
Waiting for May to come
Happy for the rain

Oh, what it could be
Oh, what a dream to me
Waiting for May to come
Hoping for the rain
A memory held too long
Just another day
Oh, what it could be
Oh, what a dream to me

This song reminds me of memories I never had...from a time I was too young to remember...early/mid 1970s

Now that’s sayin’ it like it should be said.
This song reminds me of Pat Metheny’s Secret Story album from 1992.   I love that guitar sound!
(struggling to hear the lyrics)

Speak up so we can hear you!  Fill the room with your intelligence!

What is the fascination with this lame song? Not for me.
Interesting influences on Khruangbin’s “Ultracool Vibe”: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/0...
This band is on another plane of existence, and I want to go there.
You should see the comments about this drummer on their YouTube selections. "He is a human metronome."  "He was stranded on a deserted island for three years and when they rescued him, he knew what time it was to the second."
"He pays his bills on time."
Very nice!
The best band i've discovered lately on my favorite radio.  😁
A bit of a Yo La Tengo feel... and that's a good thing!
So nice - just a few ingredients combined perfectly.
Tomorrow again please
Great song, but the band picture looks like something from an SNL parody sketch. (Is that David Cross in the wig on the right?)

What a fabulous comment. Describe what I feel but I couldn’t put words to it. Thanks!
Just found out about this band, and now it's a whole genre:

Was able to watch their streamed Coachella set this past weekend on the Coachella Youtube site.  Wow, fantastic show (and very good sound considering it was via stream).  Here is how they opened their set https://youtu.be/JtMALA6Gkkc I believe they'll be streaming their set on weekend two this Sunday (21 April) as well for anyone interested.
Kruangbin is always welcomed here.

On April 5th, when this song comes out, I will highly recommend it as really easy on the ears.  Today is only March 19th though, so I can't do it yet.

April 5 has now passed.  Very much looking forward to listening to more of this band.  I love the laid-back easy-going sound.  The guitar has such a dreamy quality, and the whole production sounds like it could've been done in the 1970s. Outstanding.

I like this very much. Very mellow, relaxed, and reminiscent of the seventies. More please!

And this song pulls some emotional strings for me, too. Soothing.
Oh wow! Looks like this was just officially released today!
The more I hear this band, the more I like them.
Nice.  First time I'm hearing this.  My first thought was...."sounds like Khruangbin...."  Sure enough.  It's that guitar sound they've got going for themselves.  Very distinctive.  Texas done by way of Thailand.  😆  Very nice.

It foesn’t come out on May 9th?

No. It's a different single, April 5th.

My new favorite band I just discovered on RP.

I’ve only just discovered this band and I’m having grand fun listening to their back catalogue! Thanks again Radio Paradise.

Now that's funny.    And I agree!
