If you're free tomorrow, don't make any plans (Don't make any plans)
We can go to Sylvan Park and kick over trash cans
Love is all around me, everywhere I turn
Is that the smell of fall or the city burned?

There's a mustang in the city
And it's calling me out
Are you a mustang or a kitty?
What are you all about?

There's a golden globe in my office space
A muscle magazine next to the toilet
I'm getting big and strong just thinking about it (Uh-uh)
And I can feel the heat of the water rise

Oh, there's a mustang in the city
And it's calling me out
Are you a mustang or a kitty?
What are you all about?

I saw 'em operating on a kid downstairs
I could not be bothered to pretend to care
I like to watch you eat in front of the camera
And there's a misty mornin' in your eye

Oh, there's a mustang in the city
And it's calling me out
Are you a mustang or a kitty?
What are you all about?
It's just a mistake and a pity
It's drownin' the crowd
Are you a mustang or a kitty?
A mustang or a kitty?

There was somethin' amiss in your apology

Oh, there's a mustang in the city
And it's calling me out
Are you a mustang or a kitty?
What are you all about?
It's a mistake and a pity
Dragging me down
You a mustang or a kitty?
A mustang or a kitty?

Quite a different sound for them... Soft in parts, LOUD IN OTHERS; kind of like a split-personality Rock 'n' Roll episode -- I like it!

For me, this song is Kings of Leon getting back to what they do best after a couple of very popular but mundane albums that reeked of image consultancy. Feels a lot less restrained to me.
Is it just me or are you getting the feeling that a good amount of music is just getting posted because it's new? The curating sure feels like leaf raking. *Flame on*
… “are you a mustang or hello kitty.”

i think my jabras might need a cleaning? but LOVE this new / different / shouty sound from the kings AND the album title.
Kings of Leon: Can We Please Have Fun?
Dads of Kings of Leon: <cough cough>
Kings of Leon: <shuffle their feet>
Dads of Kings of Leon: <stern look>
Kings of Leon: Oh, alrightMay we have fun?
Dads of Kings of Leon: You may.
I'm happy for yinz to like it, but I might could PSD. Great album name, though.
lot of talk of new sound for them. Sounds like early KOL to me.
A good thing, best from them since what ever was immediately before Sex on Fire
not a native English speaking person here ... I like the new sound, but may it be the lyrics are pretty shallow? e.g. the question: 'are you a mustang or a kitty?', sounds rather stupid translated in my language and now I can not un-hear it
please someone tell me it's a deeper meaning behind it that I could not get so far because of cultural reasons *shrugs
Different isn't always better.

Allow me to present Exhibit A

I love hearing new release stuff on RP! Just noticed that the release date is still 2 months out (May 10 2024), and it's only March. Noice!

Nice or Noise? Nice noise?
I like it anyway ! even if 2 months ahead of time... thanks !
This one reminds me of Beasty boys - Sabotage.
But overall, nice song, as all of them. :)

Thanks, RP. We still need to hear new music---and THIS fits the bill nicely.
This is better than their usual stuff

Echo your thoughts.  At least for this song, I appreciate them trying something different and not rehashing the same sound over and over.  I understand not everyone will be on board with this song but I think it's a nice change of pace for them (but still rocks pretty well).  I like it too.
