+1 to 9, after yesterday's hearing of this in the most appropriate of settings. The wife and I were nearly home from a day spent enjoying our remote forest camping property at the south end of Camano Island.
Having endured nearly 2 hours of accident caused traffic backups, and witnessing a beautiful Pacific Northwest Sunset, this track popped up on the play list. It also marked the moment traffic was moving at the posted 60mph limit (still slow considering 10 over is the "real" speed limit anymore) and in my head I knew the track was long ,and amazingly it ended right after we pulled into our driveway at home.
"And the Day Turned to Night. And the Night was Filled with Weirdness."
Long Live Radio Paradise!!

Thanks you Radio Paradise people for making all of us so happy. Push hard!!
Where else are you going to find a radio station that plays a 20 minute song where one is encouraged to enjoy it in an altered state of mind and achieve an elevated state of consciousness with the universe?

Shpongle is such a bright spot in an otherwise rather dark period.

This was really GOOD in 1998. It has aged badly: far too many imitators over the years. I'm not dissing it. I can appreciate its value.
But so many kids with synths and computers have been flooding so many discos with bad ripoffs of this.

Reminds me of Soft Machine from the early 70s.

Sorry. Just not getting this. Just noise really. The percussion drowns out the pleasant flute.

This send me to places - amazing trip
Reminds me of evenings sitting on our back deck at Borden St, jamming on whatever was at hand: guitar, bongos, wooden clogs, cardboard box, kitchen implements... until we had to stop to roll another joint. Good times.
This is why I come here. Finding new music. Sweet.
Nice!
I really dig this....thanks RP!
