My friend, my friend
This life is long
This life is short
Manage it in a certain way
The way that suits you

What you desire, I desire it as well
From the depth of my heart, I accept it
Everywhere I go, I'll think about it

Yes. Guitars ARE a symbol of rebellion. No matter what language the vocalist sings in.
Loved this song on first listen, and that album art is SO good.

You lucky duck.  I wish that I could have been there too, to see & hear them!
It got me the first time. Quite a unique use of electric guitar and typical Arab singing (which I cannot stand in its original form). Has a character of its own.

THANK YOU! ♥♥♥
Once again, I mentally had to jump through the Bombino / Bonobo hoop...was like 'that doesn't sound like Simon'...dammit, wrong guy again...

Try the Z900RS. You won't be disappointed. Just like the Z1, except it corners and stops!!
I love mine

PS and it's just beautiful !! (wish i could work out how to put pictures in with my posts like some other clever folk seem to do.... )

Got addicted to mesmerizing sound of his guitar from the first listening. Love his singing style too. Never tired of Bombino.

Oh I love this! They (and the likes of  Tinariwen) have got something going!

No need for the initial 'hate period', methinks.

I've had many "Moggy's" - '59 Plus 4 was my first, followed by a 57 Plus 4, another '59 but a 4-seater this time, and my favorite, a '64 DHC. Did many rallies in the '60s and '70s with the Morgan Plus Four Club in LA. Now I'm too old to even get myself into one!
I really like the lead guitar in this song. That opening riff kicked ass.
A good day starts with Bombino / Amidinine at 7:58 in the morning
I'm surprised by all the comments along the lines of initially not liking it, then later coming to like it.
I love this from day 1.  Absolutely LOVE it.  Bombino is a great guitarist, and I love his sound.
I hadn't heard of Bombino before hearing it here, ... yet another example of how Bill and RP make lives richer.  Thanks Bill!

I don't think this sounds at all like either Yanni or Laurel; though I guess that proves your point about how we all hear things differently.
let the chair-dancing begin :)
Great guitar player and wonderful live band.  I saw them several times in my home country in the Netherlands.
Saw Bomino in concert in SF. FABULOUS. But if he could get a band that's as good as he is to back him up...he'd be world famous.
I do like this song, but, I've been listening a lot these past few weeks., and I seem to hear it every day or maybe every two days (I'm losing track...). Same with some other songs. Anyway - more than  3x in the past 30 days..
When I first heard this song I was kind of blown away. Now it's a favorite, as are other Bombino songs.

Gotta have that daily hit of Bombino I guess.

I recognize that. The overwhelming feeling a song can give you, hearing it for the first time and going to the heart right away (where it may stay for ever).

Excellent music!  African music has such a beautiful sound.
Bombino is fantastic. This is Tuareg blues...what a wonderful world we live in.

Thanks Fred, I'm going to put the word "insouciant" in my back pocket for a very special occasion.
Lemme guess - the producer for The Black Keys is responsible for this?

ISIS rocks!
This is on regular rotation at Poacher Mansions - and usually played LOUD

Thanks to whoever found and uploaded this.
I've just read Bombino's profile on Wikipedia, as advised by Bill on air : impressing indeed !

It makes me glad to have heard him from Africa through USA to my far away little Belgium ;)

Upon closer inspection, the pinched ends of the exhaust pipes give it away as being a early vintage CB 500 Four.  Still a very cool album cover along with the Fender Strat riding shotgun.

Dig the song too!

Geeez, only heard this yesterday!! Loop has obviously come around far too soon!!! Come Bill, we need a new loop! {#Eh}

Fantastic. Clicked the link and bought the CD.

Fresh, fine and 'fast', much thanks for the 'charge' Radio Paradise. Will add to own eclectic collection as soon as possible. :)

I guess this is how you say "Black Keys" in Tuareg.

Love it!

Massive grower.

Dan Auerbach's influence is really obvious in this track, but in a good way!!

Cool track, my wife refers to him as Bill's favourite Nomad.
Definitely digable! Start with a 7.
...a nice start to a sunny Sunday morning - not sure if it will  grow on me or not though...{#Think} ...

Now were cooking with gas! I'm gonna buy this guy's CDs!
Thanks, Bill. Love Bombino.
