A part of you is ending
A part of you holds on
What leaves your life suspended
Cradled by the sun

You found what's right before your eyes
Speaking like a fool
You hide yourself inside your words
Leaving someone else

But you must leave and not turn back
Knowing what you hold
How much time have we got left
It's killing us, but carries us on

Carries us all...

A part of you is able
A part of you is gone
With leads you from the table
Returning to the cold

You found yourself inside a tomb
Screaming to the sun
You feel your heart can only give
Pieces of a ghost

But you must leave and not turn back
Knowing what you hold
How much time have we got left
It's killing us, but carries us on

Carries us all...

I will follow you till we all return
Till we know our souls survived
I will follow you till we all return
Till we know our souls survived

I will follow you till we all return
Till we know our souls survived
I will follow you till we all return
Till we know you'll carry us on

Carry us on, carry us all
Carry us on, carry us all
Carry us on, carry us all

Carry us all

Yeah, since I love this band people posting such BS just depress me.

SO lush. That is their gift. Delicious!

Hearing BRMC on RP is one of the reasons I've been listening for so long to this station. Nobody was playing them and I'd just heard about them, then a friend mentioned Radio Paradise and I heard some of this, some of that and I'm a fan for life... of music.

A  1  for every song Bill plays by these paper thin posers.
Way too much good music out there to hear 21 songs from these cheese balls.

other stations are available. pxd
9/9/2021.
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Returning  -> The Call - Let the Day Begin.  A little father, son bands back to back.  Nice job Bill!

Music is subjective. There is no here & there over this & that

Same here. Similar with Third Eye Blind.

weak and lame.
Let's play 3 degrees of Steven Wilson!
Prior song was Porcupine Tree (with SW of course), and this band, Chroma Key, is Kevin Moore, who is also in OSI, which Steven Wilson has guest appeared and co-wrote the song Shut Down.

Or, Steven Wilson was in PT with Gavin Harrison, and Gavin Harrison was the drummer for OSI's last 2 albums.
This song carries me Far from the Madding Crowd.

Guess we all have our 'overplayed' list If Bill & Rebecca listened to all of them, there'd be bugger all left to play
Moves mountains.

Bumping to a 10... this was my first BRMC CD purchase and it is outstanding...

Does anyone else think of Rothko when looking at the cover art?  Also similar to Amnesiac by Radiohead...

It looks more like some Bauhaus work to me - cleaner edges, like Josef Albers or one of his buddies, but that is a pretty dark red like Rothko often used.
As a new convert to rp, (I know!...Where have I been?!), I am just loving the smooth groove...especially as you are playing brmc! My holiday in West Wales has just been made even better!

I try not to think of Rothko.  When I lived in Houston, I visited the chapel several times.  And understood the mood that led to his suicide.
so happy!
Gotta say this is a little ah boring but I can't help getting sucked in by BRMC. They just a groove I fall into. Besides their name is so f...ing cool.
Well, it is an integrated bilingual edition {#Smile}

same as niccca ...now a 10 ...cant help myself with this one..its gold.
Charmless.
The more I hear this (frequently, lately) the less I get out of it.   Meh.
BRMC has always been a bit of a guilty pleasure for me considering how un-original they are - I usually diss bands who don't have the least bit of originality but what can I do, these guys more often than not do a pretty good job copying other people's music.

Well, it's just average really. Nothing special. The sad part is they sound like they could be REALLY GREAT.

Oh, stop your droning plodding whining already!!!

Sorry - this is BS,

says the BRMC "fan"!

Agreed. I love BRMC. I haven't heard any of the more rocking tracks from the album on RP, just the more dirge-y ones. I can see how someone would get the wrong idea about the album based on airplay.

This is an excellent album overall, I actually would say this is one of the weaker songs on it.  If you like this and the other, you will love the album.

This could be the first full album after his father's death. That would explain a lot.

Interesting.  Dostoevsky had one piece of advice, paramount above all other things, for an aspiring artist:  suffer
You know what Guy's? They play in concert in my town, Rouen in France,  on february 8! I'm going to see them with friends, and you know what?

Nice to hear another track from this new BRMC album. So far...I like both tunes I've heard. There seems to be a 'pain' cloud floating over the two songs I've heard so far.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
nothing but noiz hear......usually like this band butt.............

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Returning/Specter At the Feast (2013)
Jackson Browne - Fountain Of Sorrow/Late For The Sky (1974)
Mazzy Star- Halah/She Hangs Brightly (1991)

The last 3 tracks suck all the energy out of me. Come on Bill this station is starting to turn into Radio Paralyze.

Please turn up the speed a little.

Love this band, very wabi-sabi.
Droning, dirgy, mopey. Blech. =2
FUNERIAL DIRG?
...while it might be a touch subtle upon first listen, this album is an exceptionally-strong grower; the best in their catalog to date...
Kind of mournful. A lot of BRMC is downbeat or less than exuberant, shall we say. This is nice, but it's almost a dirge. Do they rock out and lighten up?
