There was a time when we were cradled one on one
And now I find that all creation is undone
I'm throwing out all of these thoughts that are not mine
I'm building up you're coming down i'm losing time

And now i've found some solid ground
I thought i'd drowned but now i'm found
And on the lips of life I kiss
I find I'm here this place of bliss

It's better now you'll find that life is on your side
And you know of glory days the vibe you cannot hide
I'm giving you the chance to make it all alright
Baby come on walk with me I know the futures bright

When you dream of themes that drive you to feel insincere
Think again you know that all those feelings are just fear
When you're trilled by ego hits you think you're on a high
You should know deep down inside it never satisfies

Most Excellent music. So glad you played this song. I ordered (thruRP) this album and it’s absolutely magnificent. Highly recommend.

Interesting that an original copy of this song did not exist on YouTube until last month.  According to Wikipedia, "As of 2020, Syntax had their music removed from all streaming platforms due to a trademark dispute with a US band of the same name. This has led to widespread copyright strikes by Douglas Martens against any artist using the noun “syntax” in their name. This issue has not been solved as of yet."

Sheesh...

It seems that suit may have been lost, seeing as a google search for Syntax brings up only this band in at least the first two pages. and lots of links to their music and videos...

Always turn this one UP 2 notches, even if it is at 9.
It’s seductive.
Punchy crunchy bombastic bliss.

I can relate.  This came on RP while my music-savvy kids were listening in the background and they were, like, "Daaad!"  And I'm like, "What? This is good."  And they're like "But... Daaad!"  It was like I was stealing their independence.

I love when they say it with more than one "a"

LOL - same reaction from my sons when, a number of years ago, I discovered Porcupine Tree and The Dandy Warhols on RP   ;>)

Finally upped it to a 10.  I bet they are fantastic live.
Damn I love this track. Can't get it anywhere apart from paying for the whole soundtrack of a film on Spotify or iTunes Store. the original album isn't available anywhere that I can find.
Been away from RP for several years,...life got in the way.  But it's nice to come back to and hear Bliss, a song I rated at 9.
This whole album is fantastic.

Ha, Bill must have seen your comment as the next song is, Icehouse!
This song really revs me up and gets me going. It's a go-to for getting focused on getting things done. Guitar lead in that grabs you, driving tempo and positive lyrics. Got ta give it a 10 for all that! Fortunately I found this album on Soundcloud App for those in-between RP rotation needs.
The coconut sounds in the background make this....Put your headphones on & listen!

I heard this song on RP and it really struck me hard. Checked out some of the other cuts from the album on Youtube and they were nearly as strong as this one. But the cd was almost impossible to find. Finally obtained a pricey disc off Amazon UK (I'm in the US) from a record store.  Thanks for yet another great discovery Bill!
That hits the spot!

I don't know why, but when I read your comment, I immediately thought of INXS (maybe Full Moon, Dirty Hearts?) and started to hear the song as if it was being performed by Michael Hutchence and the boys from Down Under.
Nope.  Not liking that voice. Mousy, breathy, very juvenile.  Sincere though.

Who'd ask more?
There are some completely different sounding tracks with each one having a compelling attraction.  Message, Tower of power,Pride, Destiny, and Fever are my favs.. there is a rare Japanese release with a few extra tracks available, but I can't find anyone who will sell it.   Stefen wrote:

Kurt Cobain called, no wait, I mean that guy from Bush that wanted to sound like Curt Cobain called....
Hmmm... ambient?  I wouldn't put it in that category at all.  Turn it up and move to it!

Hints of INXS "Elegantly Wasted."
Sounds like VAST.
And once again while listening to RP I say "why have I never heard this before?!"

Love it. And the Peter Murphy echo ... yes indeed.

Hey 1wolfy,  How's it?

If you like it, I probably like it too.  And that certaintly is the case with this song.

Please do upload more Syntax material for Bill's consideration.
Is this not Unkle? Thought it was up until now. Not a bad thing to be confused with. Solid 8 and likely to nudge up with the next listen.

We have to pay a Sin Tax on pretty much everything here and it doesn't feel nearly as good as this track.
Rare these days that a song makes me slide right down to my local EllPeeHut and look for an expensive CD labelled "RARE" but there ain't any to be had...  Syntax has it going on.
I'm rising above the clouds and sailing away with Syntax in a blissful way!!!!
Repetative, one chord wonder.  My golly it is addictive, as is the album.  8.4.

Fluke have done some great stuff - their remix of TalkTalk's "Natural History" was interesting.  Their work with Bjork is superb.
Sounds like Peter Murphy.
outstanding closing music as I carry large decorative steel tables and chairs in from the glorious sunlight, it was almost 60 degrees today, with steady caresses of soft wind and birdsong - delicious spring!
I absolutely love this song! I can relate. Wish it was on iTunes...
SO FINE

The Chemical Brothers - Out Of Control
Great tune. Is this the extended version?
