I have such envy
For the stranger lying next to me
Who awakes in the night
And slips out into the pre-dawn light

With no words, a clean escape
No promises or messes made
And chalks it all up
To mistake, mistake, mistake

And there are no tears
Just pity and fear
And a vast ravine
Right in between

A storm at sea
The bow cracked and I was capsizing
And I sunk below
Where I swore I would never go

If you can't stand in place
You can't tell who's walking away
From who remains
Who stays, who stays, who stays

And there are no tears
Just pity and fear
And a vast ravine
Right in between

'Cause there are no tears
Just pity and fear
And I recall
The push more than the fall
The push more than the fall

Nice to be back in the 21st Century.  Nostalgia isn't what it used to be anyhow.
Wow! What a let down after all that Pink Floyd....However this song would almost certainly get a higher rating if it was moved somewhere else on the playlist.
Perfectly reasonable track, possibly really good, just unfortunate to follow the "pink" 4 x 10 selection, but what else could follow them (apart from "New Year's Day" by U2, and that is memorable for personal reasons).
These guys ROCK, I can't wait until they come through NY, I will be there.

Pretty weak follow-up to twin cuts from Dark Side of the Moon. Solid 4 vote from me after two 10s...{#Snooty}

I'm with ya on that one too—maybe if it hadn't followed such fantasmically great tunes I'd like it more... {#Confused}

This is forgettable

Summer Skin etc is memorable...
It is good
Very interesting song. I was so ready to not like DCFC but keep getting pleasantly surprised by their musicianship. Feel a bit like early Smashing Pumpkins but with more variation. Anyhoo, thanks RP for keeping me current and revisiting the past all night long.
