I wear a ponytail like a waterfall
Loudspeaker cause a land slide
I have a room key and a Johnny
A good buzz, feeling all right
Pitch a tent, pop a top
Forget about what you ain't got
See the sites, sleep til night
Stamp your feet, turn out the lights
If you want to go where they chain up the sun
See Fernando, see Fernando
He'll buy a bottle of suds for you and everyone
See Fernando, see Fernando
If you're high strung or stressed out
Down in the dumps, been turned out
Stabilized, motorized
Insecure or fableized
Curious or furious
Picked apart like Prometheus
Legalized, penalized
Stamp your feet, dry out your eyes
If you want to go where they chain up the sun
See Fernando, see Fernando
He'll buy a bottle of suds for you and everyone
See Fernando, see Fernando
You've been Jezebeled, back from hell
Cooling off, feeling well
Tired of talking, talked out
Ticked off or toughed up
Too talled or backed up
Haven't made your mind up
TBD'd or TB'd
Tired of falling to your knees
If you want to go where they chain up the sun
See Fernando, see Fernando
He'll buy a bottle of suds for you and everyone
See Fernando, see Fernando
And if you want to go where they chain up the sun

Hearing this once a year is probably enough. The fact that I know it by heart, and actually hate it now, tells me it has gotten too much air time on RP. there is so much better music out there. Why this?
Sure, it rocks. It's just that it's not very good.

If you've sunk so low that you don't even have any Blatz on hand, you might as well be drinking fermented ball sweat.

"The Next Messiah" is an epic off of this album.
Have to disagree. Great wake-up call at 8:20 am.
Sooooo bored of this
Have I grown old, or has paradise?
Had to bump this to 9. Such a great song!

I love Jenny Lewis, but not this so much. Reminds me of the ABBA song, which in this case it 2 strikes against. That said, I am addicted to the last track "Sing a Song for Them," which sadly is not on RP playlist.
Hehe, if the playlist were for sale, I suspect you'd be hearing alot less of Jenny Lewis than you are now. When was the last time you heard her on a Clear Channel station? However, if B&R WERE getting kickbacks from indie artists, I'd have to tip my hat to them. Nice job there guys ;)

See, the thing is, some things are greater than the sum of their parts. Not that I crave that particular Abba song, but I like it when Bill gets jiggy with the segueways (I apologize for referring to it as "getting jiggy". Not sure what I was thinking. Hope that doesn't invalidate the point I'm trying to make).
Anyhoo...
Segues are about 15-20% of my enjoyment of RP. I have a LOT of music available to me... theoretically I could just put my MP3 library on random. The experience would be MUCH less gratifying... even assuming I could add unknowns to the random mix. The human touch of making tracking decisions... even off-the-wall decisions, is valuable. All that being said, I doubt highly either hell or high water would "really" stop a segue if he thought it was a good idea. I consider it an idle threat... but I had to play along ;)
Bill: No need to ever follow this up with Abba, thanks.

No! Please subject us to cruel segueways... please?
Huh! There's actually a track on this release that sounds pretty good.... And Jenny appears to be a tasty-looking lass, indeed.
(I wonder why that other crap has received so much play on RP...)

There's such a fun, timeless quality about this song. I can't help but sing along when it comes up on my playlist or I hear it here.
Wow, she really tears this up. I'd love to see this live.
I would much rather hear ABBA than this.
