I think the cover depicts the cruel, but fair way of nature in dealing with certain species that make noises which are unbearable to other certain species. Or am I getting my Darwinisms mixed up?

I'd like to think that if Ian Curtis had known that he'd be responsible for Interpol some 25-30 years down the line he'd have killed himself a lot sooner.
The only reason anybody likes Interpol is that they sound like Joy Division, and the only reason anybody liked Joy Division is that Ian Curtis killed himself.

The Editors are yet another ripoff band which gained popularity do to TV show exposure.  Interpol should sue them.  A very negative post but just the way I feel about them.

Dreary, dark - yes
Drab - no

This is actually quite nice.  The singer sounds a lot like Jim Morrison here.  I like this song better than "My Chemistry" where somehow he sounds to me likesome cranky old man with poorly fitting dentures.

dreary, dark, drab.

Whew, a new Interpol song. I was getting tired of My Chemistry.
I wasn't tiring of My Chemistry which is a fine number, but it's nice to hear another number from this lot to know that My Chemistry wasn't just a one-off. 7 from the Nottingham jury.
Oh, and BTW, regarding the CD cover, I don't think the lion and lioness hunt together. ...but maybe that's the ironic (or whatever) statement the designer is trying to make.
I like their music and style- I find myself wishing that they had more diversity, song to song.

I was going to say the same thing. :)
this song led off their concert in the desert at coachella last year. the lighting, the dry air...everything about the song and weather and mood just felt right. it was fantastic!
I downloaded the album...after a few listens, I like it a lot.
I think they listened to a lot of Doors in the womb.

my cleaning lady just commented that "this man really can't sing", sadly, I tend to agree.
Dissonant, irritating and monotonous. Other than that, no complaints here!
Ouch, it gets worse as the song drags on.
I am the lion, and the deer is Interpol.
Yeah, this sucks.
Boring

huh, I always wondered who did this song. My friend was big into Interpol, and I kept trying to catch them, but always missed them. Now it turns out I knew them the whole time. I like 'em!
