Won't you take me back to school
I need to learn the golden rule
Won't you lay it on the line
I need to hear it just one more time
Oh won't you tell me again
Can you feel it
Won't you tell me again
Tonight

Each and every heart it seems
Is bounded by a world of dreams
Each and every rising sun
Is greeted by a lonely one
Oh won't you tell me again
Can you feel it
Oh won't you tell me again
Tonight

'Cos out on the ocean of life my love
There's so many storms we must rise above
Can you hear the spirit calling
As it's carried across the waves
You're already falling
It's calling you back to face the music
And the song that is coming through
You're already falling
The one that it's calling you

Make a promise take a vow
And trust your feelings it's easy now
Understand the voice within
And feel the changes already beginning
Oh won't you tell me again
Can you feel it
Won't you tell me again
Tonight

And how many words have I got to say
And how many times will it be this way
With your arms around the future
And your back up against the past
You're already falling it's calling you
On to face the music
And the song that is coming through
You're already falling
The one it's calling is you

Each and every heart it seems
Is bounded by a world of dreams
Each and every rising sun
Is greeted by a lonely one
Won't you tell me again
Can you feel it
Oh won't you tell me again
Tonight

Hmm, maybe I'm looking too hard for BillG's transitions.

Still good even with the old cheesy strings attached. They have way better tunes. Dude!

It is actually a "Mellotron" played by Patrick Moraz, not real strings!  Google Mellotron, it is a cool keyboard instrument from the 60s. It was used in most of their early albums.  Early King Crimson, The nice, ELP  & early Yes also used it also!  Google it!
I'm just the right amount of high right now to think this is a really great song....
As a kid in the early 80s, I loved this song.  Didn't really understand it at the time, but the melodic quality always made me happy.

More thanks to *William and the RP Crew* for allowing us to rate songs and then hear those in My Favorites - Last weekend I rated a bunch of tracks I hadn't heard on RP, including this one, and two days later here it is in my My Favorites and well that's super cool.

Long Live RP and My Favorites!!

*Edited on May 3rd, 2023, after hearing this in the Main Mix (yay!) - still a 9 for this guy; LLRP*

That’s Patrick Moraz on Keyboards

He is great! He also played on the Yes "Relayer" album, & in a band called "Refugee". I saw a Yes concert with him on keys!
Great tune! Mellotron heaven! ...Yes, Elp & King Crimson also used the Mellotron!
Summer 1981, thanks to that one person who made me realize what life can really be.  One crazy summer made so so great. This song brings me right back into that space
This one didn’t age well for me.
THANK YOU!!
I remember the very first time I heard this song.
I had big headphones on and a big smile came across my face as JH's guitar started....
Space X
Get in the car we're going far away
This is not intended to be criticism, but I suspect if the MBs would take a very different, less frenetic approach to this song if they were to produce it today.
