Don't you, know that I'll, be around to, guide you,
Through your, weakest moments to leave them, behind you.
Returning nightmares, only shadows.
We'll cast some light and you'll be alright.
We'll cast some light and you'll be alright,
For now.
Crosses, all over, heavy on, your shoulders,
The sirens, inside you, waiting to, step forward.
Disturbing, silence, darkens, your sight,
We'll cast some light and you'll be alright.
We'll cast some light and you'll be alright,
For now.
Crosses, all over, the boulevard.
Crosses, all over, the boulevard.
Crosses, all over, the boulevard.
Crosses, all over, the boulevard.
The streets outside your window, overflooded.
People staring, they know you've, been broken.
Repeatedly reminded, by the looks on, their faces,
Ignore them tonight and you'll be alright.
We'll cast some light and you'll be alright.
Through your, weakest moments to leave them, behind you.
Returning nightmares, only shadows.
We'll cast some light and you'll be alright.

Great!!
This sounds like a mix between Iron and Wine and Belle and Sebastian and something else. Anything but Zero 7 which I like anyway and I really like this song and I am also really rambling...........8.
Edit: Ahhhhhhh Jose Gonzales, I feel better now though I was feeling just fine anyway listening to this great song ok bye.

OMG — I almost hate to mention this (especially since I am a HUGE Zero 7 fan) — but I suddenly started hearing Christopher Cross "Ride Like The Wind" in the middle of this.......... yikes!! (I'm sure this observation was probably made already, I just didn't feel like scrolling through 5+ pages of song comments)
GORGEOUS SONG
AND BAND!

You might be thinking of "Games People Play" by the Alan Parsons Project. I can kind of hear that in the bassline, though it seems only vaguely related. I like this one (and APP too).
Thank YOU for posting this. It has been driving me nuts. And here I had the vague sensation that I was hearing "Driver's Seat" redux, instead. But no, it was indeed APP. Whew.

I've got a fever. . . .
everything which makes me curious is outstanding: quite strange Zero 7 with Jose, but very hyptnotic

i like it; some wise man once told me, if you want to get to know the parameters of someone's thinking; look at 3 things; their shoe rack, what kind of spices they use and the type of music they listen to. i'm not sure why it came up when i heard this tune, but i can imagine the comments this gets from the old-skoolers whose reference point for a "10" is relegated to the likes of something from Let It Be or Ziggy Stardust...

Kittee - Kittee - Kittee! Zero 7 is a genre of its own. Turn out the lights, close your eyes, and be carried away. There is new life at every listen. Kittee wrote:

Excellent! First tune on a damn cold monday morning
Hey Bill, clever segue from Thievery Corporation to this! Here are two bands I wasn't familiar with until the Garden State soundtrack, heard 'em, loved 'em - and now I get to hear another song from each band back-to-back! Love the groove in this one - and as always, love the Middle Eastern vibe of the Thievery Corp track...
GORGEOUS!

is this a speacial mix? Pretty sure I have Zero 7 - Crosses and it doesn't sound like this.
NOTE: I may be going mental?
The end of this song reminds me of the instrumental piece when they are driving the van in Cheech & Chong's Up in Smoke.
Pretty cool song.

Yeah, absolutely there is! That's what building a set is all about. Try making playlists within iTunes that mix the songs in a way that they make sense to you. I have a list of driving songs, songs that remind me of someone I miss, etc. Drumming songs. Sleeping songs.

Could use some more.
This is among the worst

Nothing weird about that. He's Swedish himself.
Bought the first album, borrowed the second, don't like this one. (Too disco-y)

Hmm. I had to give it a low rating, esp the first part of the track. I like Z-7's "Waiting Line" quite a bit so it was a disappointment to find out this is Z-7 also.
Just love Zero 7
How about some SIA since we're hearing Z-7?!?!
There's a good remix of the original track by Jose, done by DJ Tiesto

It's a pretty good song, though. I gave it a 7.
fish and non fish alike seem to agree on the seven . . .
thinking of bumping it to an 8, however, as it grows on me.
Nice

I really like Zero 7. But I LOVE Jose Gonzales. It's nice he has two bands, he and his guitar, and Zero 7 as his backup band. HaHaHa.
Good stuff!

Yes. Why don't you? Tell us and we'll all know. Is it that the bananas are too ripe? Mine are just starting to come on in the patch in Broome. Your stand may need refreshing? Horizontally?

Same here. They don't really have a distinctive sound, which might be good.

I kinda hear a little bit called 'POPCORN' done on the then-hot FARFISA SYNTH
Still=love this jam

I thought that was Jose on this. Nice combination. Zero 7 can do no wrong, and Jose's voice is excellent.
Coolish. The rest is from the time we smoked coffee and drank ganja, or ate mahjoum (er, correction) and took on the altered state.
Isn't this going to be the series music for the new "Police Woman" series on ABC?
This music is very "Angie". I hope they bring her back to.
this is bad.... oh no....

this is a prime example of something I probably would have never heard if it wasn't for RP. I dig it and I will probably go buy it today. Thanks RP!!
Bought this album after I heard a track on RP. Love it. They said in an interview that they were listening to a ton of Joni Mitchell and CSN&Y while writing this one and I think it really shows.
Like these guys
Does anyone hear 1975 TV drama series music? Angie Dickenson could have starred.

While I like Zero 7, I'm much more partial to this song when its just Jose Gonzalez and his guitar.
Vocally, reminds me of Steeler's Wheel (Jerry Raferty)
I really like these guys....but...the similarity to CSN on this particular album - not just vocally - the arranging, too - I always find more than a bit distracting.

I much prefer Jose's version of this- it's far more edgy. Although I like Zero 7 they seem to have turned this rather nice song into bad generic advert music. If you hear Jose's version- you just know this is wrong.
Couldn't be an 8 or a 9, must be zero-7...

I agree. He sings as if he's utterly bored out of his mind.
Why is it that the first album by zero 7 blew my doors off and this one gets me to locking them? Same thing happened with Goldfrapp.
