There's no need for the servant
There's no scene, no queen
This must be less then meant
The most pityful ever seen
I guess he misses the sunshine
For Venus he wrote a line:

I don't mind waiting a lifetime
Even if it's gambling with time
I could dare the waiting elsewhere
Love could be the future we share

He used to waste opportunities
Get some suicidal tendencies
All his life he's been seeking
For his passing love affair, he sang:

I don't mind waiting a lifetime
Even if it's gambling with time
I could dare the waiting elsewhere
Love could be the future we share

Now he's sliding to the skies
White, unlimited in his eyes
No one heard of the one man band
A red carpet to the lucky land

I don't mind waiting a lifetime
Even if it's gambling with time
I could dare the waiting elsewhere
Love could be the future we share

I'll find another place
I need some open space

For me, this is one of those magical mystical highly hypnotic songs that I never tire of hearing here on the life-affirming stream of RP...

I think somebody spent WAY too much time in study hall perfecting that band's logo.

And way too much time in front of the mirror perfecting the hair and make-up.

Are you kidding? Do you know how hard it is to get an Alien on your band??

What happened to the 'alternate' lyrics that were posted a while back?

Sounds a bit like Poe... I like!
Ahhhh....time for a trip to Ibiza.
Ha! I could have sworn this was Natalie Merchant!
As The_Enemy said, I like this song more than in past, so I've also change my vote from 7 to 8 {#Smile}

Good song goo lyrics ⌛️
Cool and sweet tune
Amazing. I live almost in sight of where the cover photo was taken.

Good Lord.  I've just started work, pottering about, getting into things.  I was looking at the second guy in and thinking what a weird expression he had on his face and then made the mistake of looking at the outfits.  Call me slow, but the first guy's pants have just ruined my whole day.
Every time this plays I think of the phonetically inspired lyrics set down a year or so ago in this forum. Probably the best entry ever!

Natalie probably needs 'ludes because she's so zippy and hyper otherwise.
Cool tune - sweet groove.

{#Arrowd}  Re the Stryken photo below:  The successor band for Wyld Stallyns from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

As for Cocosuma, I really dig the chill of jazzy/trance/lounge or however critics currently pigeonhole this genre.  I vote 8 on first listen.

It's definitely Brighton's derelict pier. The album was conceived in Australia though, that explains the rotation.

Interesting quiet song that reminds me so much of something else that gets played here but I cannot remember what it is.  Early onset dementia or it's just not a terribly interesting track... cannot decide which.

Another one going on my "music to play during yoga class" list! Sweet. Thanks Bill.

Enunciation may be the lost art... unless you are mourning the failure of the singer to rise again. The delivery is a little glissade, but not a whiny/slurry instant turnoff.

Brilliant! (or in Cocosuma-speak: "Brill, he ain't") (and boy, you really are bored) I dig the tune, too, even if I can't figure out what she's singing. Quite likeable.
Natalie Merchant went on a honeymoon with Hope Sandoval in Brazil?

To me, she sounds a great deal like Keren Ann, both in musical production style and voice... and that's not a bad thing! (Check out Que N'ai-je" from the deliciously dreamy Nolita...) RP, you should definitely add that song...
The perfect pop song. With the limits that comes with it.

Surprisingly refreshing ... or is it refreshingly surprising?
Bossa Nova is cool. Some electronica is cool, this sounds like an attempt at melding the two and is definitely not cool - just boring. Still, better than 95% of commercial music and appreciate RP for putting out the "different", even when it's not very distinguished.
Yes this is very cool
The more I hear, the more I like it. Very cool.
Interesting and oddly beguiling. A 6 but just what I tune to RP for...
