I was never a huge fan of their recorded music and then saw them live 2 yrs ago and again last week. And WOW -- their show was bombastic, an absolute blast. I don't want to start any Blasphemous Rumors but I am now a believer.

Yes, they had recently lost a big portion of their sonic creativity with the departure of Alan Wilder, and the other band members certainly has their struggles at the time, but end to end, it has a drive and creativity that they haven’t matched since (Playing The Angel is closest).
It may sound sacrilegious, but I prefer Ultra to Violator. Highly recommended if you don’t have it.

Me too. Martin was so ahead of it, lyrically and musically. And they also had Bomb The Bass as a producer. Groove was his middle name. :) Even the follow up, OWILM and Surrender were stellar songs, one of DM's best.

As far as I know, it's totally defunct. Your only option is to purchase all the seasons on DVD (and there are scant extras, but who cares? The show itself is worth to cost.) Warner Brothers totally dropped the ball on this show. And I'm not surprised.
I've searched high and low for LFN reruns on cable, but don't see it anymore. Oxygen network used to carry it. Does anyone know if it is on TV anymore? It was such a great show.

Convention? Are there really conferences dedicated to this TV series? I've never seen it, but have seen the film, and have heard that the TV series isn't a patch on the film. Is this a cult series along the lines of, say, Buffy or The Prisoner?

Convention? Are there really conferences dedicated to this TV series? I've never seen it, but have seen the film, and have heard that the TV series isn't a patch on the film. Is this a cult series along the lines of, say, Buffy or The Prisoner?

It was playing at full volume, and all I could think was, "Holy crap - I think my heart just vibrated out of my body through my mouth." I didn't know it was Depeche Mode, but someone at the con told me, and I bought the CD right away. That bass-line just rocks me. A lot of the music of "La Femme Nikita" was Canadian artists and cutting-edge techno. Man, I miss that show...
