There was a garden
In the beginning
Before the fall
Before Genesis
There was a tree there
A tree of knowledge
Sophia would insist
You must eat of this
Original sin?
No, I don't think so
Original sinsuality
Original sin?
No, it should be
Original sinsuality
Original sin?
No, I don't think so
Original sinsuality
Yaldaboath
Saklas
I'm calling you
Samael
You are not alone
I say
You are not alone
In your darkness
You are not alone
Baby
You are not alone

I'm a Tori fan (though I don't beleive in fairies), but this song just didn't register with me - nothing to latch on to. I was caught off guard by the end, really liked it, then looked up and realized the song had changed. A sad 5 for one of my favorites.

I love you Tori, with every fiber of my being. But I'm awarding you my first ever 6, because the name of this song is so damn dumb.
I think I like this song more than you do, but I agree about the title. It is a bad pun that 10cc would've once used, and subsequently produced one of their tongue-in-cheek ditties. Tori, of course, ain't playing a novelty song here.

Am I the only one who feels that "melody" and Tori Amos have little to do with each other? My little exposure to Ms. Amos reminds me of a cross between a piano bar and a therapist's couch. Not the most musically appealing mix...
I feel like a liberal filmmaker who gets his movies quoted by Republicans behind the stump podium. I love Tori and think this comment is ignorant. Almost wish I hadn't criticized the song -- she already has so much opposition. But I'm standing by my 6 for THIS Tori song ONLY, after repeated listens.
Why you be hatin'?

Also, the melody is rehashed from your earlier work.

Yep, you got that right. Trying too hard.
Bill obviously likes Tori. Wish I shared his enthusiasm. Yick.
I never cared for her...
Hard to start now...

Also, the song is mediocre.

I mean, jesus.
Interesting lyrics, I think I like them. I do NOT however like her voice. Please make her stop.
