Giddy-up old boy it's time to go
Vous les vous savoir the love below
Brother, I've got more than you can take
But more than I can do to stay awake

I close my eyes
So I can dream of ways to keep you occupied
So I can lock you up we'll keep it classified
Alright, you're mine tonight, son
When I close my eyes

I can make you sorry when I want
Find some other house for you to haunt
Carry out your sentence in my head
All I have to do is go to bed

I close my eyes
So I can dream of ways to keep you occupied
So I can lock you up we'll keep it classified
Alright, you're mine tonight, son
When I close my eyes

Hide and seek, yellow ducky
Feeling weak or feeling lucky son

Who's got milk, the baby's crying
Shut 'em up, get 'em flying
Little kiddies bought and sold
Cos papa's got a brand new bag of gold

Tonight I'll dream of ways to keep you occupied
So I can lock you up we'll keep it classified
Alright, you're mine tonight, son
When I close my eyes
So right, I'll dream of ways to keep you occupied
Tonight I'll lock you up we'll call it classified
Alright, you're mine tonight, son
When I close my eyes

In fact, belittling others is almost always unnecessary, and for sure with regard to something subjective as tastes in music.

Long Live RP and uplifting others whenever possible!

My goal is not to muddy the waters, but Florence can sing quite differently than her default mode. There is at least on piece played here that shows  quite clearly that she has more than one style. However, I have know women whose voices were pitched to the higher register  and it was no more an affectation that Robert Plant's is (Does anyone imagine that his normal speaking voice resembles his singing voice?)

Funny!

I wish she hadn't called it quits. I get that she wanted to be a momma and just raise her kids, but I miss this sound.

Singers have all kinds of voices and this isn't an affectation, that's just her voice! The variety of voices is one more reason that keeps me coming back to RP. Keep playin' 'em Bill!

No I don't. This is not Duffy's or Amy Winehouses of the world. Besides, she was around WAY before that batch.

Say what else you will about her, I can't imagine seriously using "baby-voiced" to describe Amy Winehouse.

Ambrosia Parsley is my favorite female singer thanks to RP.

I find that I often recognize songs that Bill plays as being by this artist, and I quite enjoy them.

Perhaps that means I should get myself one of their albums.

This song is great.  I was pretty disappointed when I downloaded a bunch of her other stuff though.  Sounding like a bratty little kid is only cute for so long....
{#Music}
mmmm... I'll put her on my radar {#Tongue}... I might even buy some of her music too {#Whipit}
This is positively awesome. The girl's got a great voice, that is for certain. And I always love a good clarinet.

She is actually extremely stage-shy, and does not dress as hot for live gigs at ALL. Also a hard live act to catch. I hear she is a mom now. Bummer :)

She has the same quality to me like Holly Golightly i.e. Anyway....have to purchase this immediately.

I was part of something similar back in the 80's. Went into the newlywed's apt (while they were on honeymoon)... When they got back, the bride had been hold'n it in for a long drive and really needed the bathroom. Of course, the room was stuffed floor to ceiling with paper balls (crunch up newspaper, toss it in, it expands, repeat). You could barely budge the door. After being exposed to that and all the other pranks, they finally went to bed and were glad it hadn't been short-sheeted.... we had laid down a thick layer of cornflakes between the bottom sheet and the mattress.

don't hear the word shivaree every day either. I only knew it because my stepdad told me about him and his first wife having one when they were married in north Texas in the 50's. All their friends, family, and neighbors swarmed and then paraded around the newlywed's new home with gifts of booze and baked goods while banging pots and pans and proceeded to short sheet all the beds, take the labels off the canned food and steal their underwear. bizarre lost tradition to say the least.

Positively yumbly!

Inspired, playing this as a follow-up to Glenn Miller. She's got that 30s-40s sound in her voice.
I can't believe it but this has really grown on me. A couple more times and I'll probably have to download it. Not exactly a strong voice, but a real catchy tune.
Me likey.
I just like the first two notes of the chorus. I feel obsessive about the timbre and pitch of the voice. Am I sick.
Um... Edie Brickell?
