Don't stop
Isn't it funny how you shine?
Don't stop
Isn't it funny how you shine?

Hear the sea spray give
I was with her
We're under the ship so get me over
Now that was me
Listen
Now she fishes now
Listen

There was no one out there we used
There is the news for me useless
Now so much waste
How we'll be teased

Don't stop
Isn't it funny how you shine?
Don't stop
Isn't it funny how you shine?

Oh won't you just ask me
You're an imbecile
What's the matter for everyone I feel
Pain blues singer
He's playing just a guitar
From the top

I wake I still look I feel loose
We're all here now who's the first
Ease into my heart
He must be one of us

Don't stop
Isn't it funny how you shine?

Everybody in my mushrooming multitude of churches be dancing buck ass naked all over the world...  love this song...  love sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll...
I just bought this album, and this song is pure brilliance. Upped the rating 3 (edit: from 7 to 10). Note to Bill: Please play Waterfall and this back to back. It really helps the appreciation.
Amazing album!!!!!

Doesn't it sound like this is being played in reverse? I'm waiting for the "worship satan" message to come through...
Actually, it says, "Wear plaid.... Wear plaid."
daed si luap
pots t'nod!, or pots esaelp!, depending on who you are...
Truly one of the best 90's albums
Doesn't it sound like this is being played in reverse? I'm waiting for the "worship satan" message to come through... Ugh. How on Terra did this song actually earn this many 10 ratings??
Ugly. Mute for a few minutes. The experiment is annoying and unpleasant. Rather hear a dentist's drill. 8/14 edit: ok, so later on when there is not so much going on, it is more interesting. But at first there, in the middle of a busy workday, it was just too much, only adding to the noise and confusion.
Is this a remix or something? Doesn't sound like the original. Oh, nevermind... Waterfall.
Please stop

I don't get this. Incomprehensible lyrics and lots of backwards guitar loops. marginal=2
That is because it is backwards. As seen below this is 'Waterfall' backwards. The lyrics are written to sound like 'Waterfall''s lyrics when played backwards.
playing backwards or what?
Never quite know what to make of them...but I certainly do like their music.
love the concept. awesome.
Are you playing this song backwards or two songs at the same time? Driving me a little crazy!

Don't think...just drift! AWESOME!

When this album came out I listened to it nearly every day for a year...still don't understand all Ian's lyrics. These guys were incredible at the time this album came out. Too bad their career was really just this album.
:-s ... <-(
....But are you, exxxperrriennnced....
Ingenious!
NO!! Don't like it one bit

Hmmm... how are the lyrics reversed? ... I don't get it. I understand the tune being reversed though... could you shed a little more light here?
OK... the song before this on the album is called "Waterfall." If you take this song and play it backwards, you get "Waterfall," lyrics and all. Not sure how else to explain it. Anyone who wants a copy of this song backward can PM me with your e-mail address and I'll send it to you. I can also send a copy of "Waterfall" forward and/or backward for comparison.
Able was SRs, ere SRs saw Elba.

To be fully appreciated, this song requires the context of being played back-to-back with the previous track on the album, "Waterfall." As others have noted, this tune is "Waterfall" in reverse with new lyrics. Well, that's only part of the story. When you play this song backward (forward?), not only is the tune identical to to "Waterfall" -- but so are the lyrics. That's right: if you play this song backward, not only do you get the tune of "Waterfall," you also get the lyrics of "Waterfall." That's fugging brilliant and that's why I give this song a 10. Now you know why the lyrics in this song make no sense whatsoever. That said, the fact that they could take nonsensical but grammatically correct lyrics and turn them into the previous track's lyrics when played backwards is just stunning.

I like the Stone Roses, but this song always annoyed me. Sorry.
Wow. That was different. Reminiscent of the Chemical Brothers' guitar work. Pretty.
I think you're playing this backwards!

I just got the new Ian Brown* solo CD. I'm pretty impressed - it's very good... *lead singer of the Stone Roses

Just like Jello or ice cream, there's always room for 'Roses!
This is exactly what made Stone Roses great and miles ahead of their contemporaries during the Madchester era - their firm belief in their greatness, regardless of what they did. Reversing one of their songs and recording new lyrics on top is just one example. It takes guts to pull of something like that. :)
This is what I call m u s i c, awesome different waterfall. But is it Waterfall ? heh it stays in my mind for hours .... :D
While very good, this is far from being their best song, and it's still better than any song I heard in the last hour or so...
There! Always did like the 'Roses and almost knocked their #s down to 9.1. 9.2 is THE highest I've seen mind you. Nice.

right - freaking - on they reversed the music track to the song immediately preceding this on the disc ("Waterfall") and added new lyrics - so awesome
