In 2005 I had great seats at the Stones show here in Seattle - stage right. The only thing between us and the stage was a handrail and a security guard.
Jagger and Richards were each 2 feet from us a couple times during the show.
Anyway, Eddie Vedder was 10 rows behind us.
Seeing them for the first time this year in Prague.. What legends!! 
Up to ten today. Just because.

Regardless of the lyric or conceptual content, I cannot stand this piece. No real point in even stating this, but the combo of voice and instruments is painful to me.
My mother passed a few months ago and there’s so much truth in this song. Eddie must have lost someone too.

This song sends chills down my spine. Never forget the feeling/experience of seeing PJ live for the first time at Hershey stadium in 2003 and hearing the entire stadium belting this out. Beautiful stuff!

Picked up my six-string and suprised myself by remembering how to play this. I'm more used to four (thicker) strings these days so it didn't feel great but it *felt great* :)

I don't hit the message boards often. And having two parents with Alzheimer's, I probably read too much into lyrics like those in this song. But I came here to read interpretations of those lyrics. Too bad I find mostly grumblings. (That said, the goat/mic pic is funny.)
One of my favorite songs and albums...remember how much anticipation was toward the release of this album, after their monumental debut. I was in high school and called the records store every day, asking when will it get there...
