I want a little taste of you
When I can
Just a little taste will do
But I know you understand
I am not looking for love
I am not making a plan
Just a little taste of you
When I can
I want a kiss in the morning
That's all I need
Just a little kiss in the morning
Don't want no guarantees
I am not looking for love
You don't see me on my knees
Just a kiss in the morning
Is all I need
I am a clever lady
Just like a satin doll
A little wanton maybe
But I keep my wanting small
I am not looking for love
I am not trying to fall
A little taste of you
That's all
I want a taste of you
But that's all
Just a little taste of you
And that's all
When I can
Just a little taste will do
But I know you understand
I am not looking for love
I am not making a plan
Just a little taste of you
When I can

Sexy, sassy, fun, and a great sound. 8 from a newly-infatuated Nottingham jury.

The first ten seconds of this song (the baritone sax) sounds like the music for when the Bumpus' dogs would come over, in the movie "A Christmas Story."

The sax makes it sound like this should be on The Muppet Show.
She's been visiting this area for a number of years, I've always enjoyed her shows.
I think of her as a younger, female Ry Cooder - she has that same understanding of a number of musical genres.

Thanks, Bill - I'm going to see Erin on Friday at the New Hope winery!
Nice Bill. Great pairing with the Amy Winehouse song.

OMG THANK YOU for playing Erin's music on RP. She is from my area, in Tennessee, and I heard her live a couple of years ago here in Chattanooga. She was such a sweet presence on stage, just a guitar and a mic, and told as many stories as she sang songs. I'm proud of her for getting around, to places like paradise, CA. This is just great, thanks RP.
NO, Thank you. Now please go see Rock City and Ruby Falls!

If she ever decides to sell out, she would be a shoe in for the new Wendy's spokesmodel.

First I've heard of her but your description sounds nice.

Too much percussion, too much "30's" quirky circus noise.
Modern it up, lose the drums, an 8.
Then you'd lose the whole theme which makes you appreciate the vocals in the first place.

GREAT vocal.
What a voice!

Wasn't she the lead female for the Squirrel Nut Zippers?
Erin plays with all sorts of folks, apart from her solo career; Voices on the Verge mainly, but also Dan Bern, Andy Stochansky, 10,000 Maniacs, Martin Sexton, and Dar Williams. and I'm not saying she hasn't sung with SNZ but Katharine Whalen is the front woman singer for SNZ. As SNZ follow this track I can better understand the Q?
Wasn't she the lead female for the Squirrel Nut Zippers?
Preach on sister!
She's also reminiscent of Ingrid Lucia.

Sounds like Squirrel Nut Zippers with their Billie Holiday inspired female singer.
I like this tune. Zippy !!
Bill, you read my mind considering that today you played No Doubt after this song. I kept hearing Gwen Stefani in my head while Erin was singing. It seems I should like the McKeown song better, but I just do not.

Anybody else think of Kirsty Maccoll?
If you've seen Erin in concert you would never mistake her for Kirsty MacColl. So much voice and energy in such a small person. Definitely not Ms. MacColl. And Erin's lyrics are much more quirky, in a most wonderful way.

This sounds like it belongs in the soundtrack of some movie set in the 1920s. Couldn't we have left it there?
I listen through this dreck to get to the good stuff. Thank goodness its short.
Isn't this Squirrel Nut Zippers?
Kind of has that French jazz/Django thing going on. That's a good thing.
But too short.
I dig this.... a lot!
This would make a sweet segue with Greg Brown's Downtown...

I agree I saw her in Chicago at the Celtic Fest a couple of weeks ago....refreshing!!
Yeecch and bleecch. More jazzy irritation.

I think of her from time to time, but not when I listen to Erin. I wouldn't mind hearing more from this release. This album is... uh, what's the word I'm looking for...
Interesting.

This is why I really like this station. I like Erin, I have her first album. I didn't know she had another one out. Thanks to RP I have another CD to add to my Christmas list.
Squirrel Nut Zippers in drag? Nice sound!

That describes the song, and the artist, too! I first saw her at a house concert, and she had to perform on a coffee table so that audience could see her. :D
I really like Erin.
I like it! Fun for my morning!
Unique!
Short and sweet!
very nice!
like the mix in instrumentation and not readily obvious vocalization....
2 thumbs up!!!
Anybody else think of Kirsty Maccoll?
In these shoes?
