High, higher than the sun
You shoot me from a gun
I need you to elevate me here
At the corner of your lips
As the orbit of your hips
Eclipse, you elevate my soul, soul
You elevate my

Woo-Hoo

A star lit up like a cigar
Strung out like a guitar
Maybe you could educate my mind
Explain all these controls
I can't sing but I've got soul
The goal is elevation

A mole, living in a hole
Digging up my soul now
Going down, excavation
I and I in the sky
You make me feel like I can fly
So high, elevation

Love, lift me up out of these blues
Won't you tell me something true
I believe in you

Soul, I've got no self-control
Been living like a mole

I and I in the sky
You make me feel like I can fly

You can cease to be influenced by people who tease you...
Just neglect their helps and elevate your rates...
You can do it!

an 8 for this version.
3 -> 2
This is better than the original and only by a very, very, slight margin.  I really can hardly express my dislike of U2 with words alone.

Agreed. {#No}
Oh lord, this is somehow worse than the original.
I like the contrast from the original release. An "acceptable" 4 as it's better than listening to the same arrangement all of the time.
Horrible..just horrible
About 1/2 way through, it sounds as though Laurie Anderson got her hands on the master copy of the tape.

Agreed. I gave it a 2.
Better than the original

Always good to hear some variety - U2 mixes can add some spunk to already great songs.
Or they can do the opposite - like this
Why does this sound like a 96kbps transcription? Theres crackling throughout, too. How did this make it to the playlist?
uhm, why?
dig this remix, perhaps a little better than the original.
I have a headache.

U2, always an excellent choice, one of the greatest bands ever, I believe.
Here, Here! This is also a great song for running...
The intro to the original, with its weird underwater sonar tones, is one of the coolest, most original sounds I've heard in a rock song in a long time. These guys completely strip that out and make the song totally bland and cliched. Sad. "I coulda had a U2."

influx remix eh? Turn out the lava lamp and pass the bong.

More crap from the crap band of the 80s. And it sounds worse than their normal repetitive drivel.
:) :) I fully agree

Hey Bill, you got the Acid Reflux remix??
Always good to hear some variety - U2 mixes can add some spunk to already great songs.
lot of u2 today

Couldn't agree more - rate this a 5 - the original I would have rated a 9

This is a great tune, despite the remix. :D
It was a fantastic show opener 3 years ago, too! Man, can those guys generate electricity in an arena.
This is a great tune, despite the remix. :D
U2 Rocks almost as hard as Me also
Take the feeling of a 'crush' and turn it into a song and this is what you get.... I love this tune.
A 10!!!! Please play more U2!!!!!
U2, always an excellent choice, one of the greatest bands ever, I believe.

Oh, listen everyone! It's U2 on Radio Paradise! Can you believe it? (and I'm a fan, but I guess not a fanatic)
yeah, I'm a big fan too, esp after seeing them live, which was amazing...but they have been playing a lil too much U2 for their eclectic radio. Maybe it's because of St. Patrick's Day or something and the rate will die down now...

Keep this song of the air, just for the very poor soundquality....

I'd say the original was sub-par and the remix is even worse.
This is the second U2 song in the last 45 minutes. Once again, there is way too much U2 played on RP. Overplayed and overrated
This is a great song ... in its original version.

Judging ny the jumble of your post, the same may be asked of you.
Not nice to "wink wink, nudge nudge" about something I'm upfront about. My post doesn't seem all that jumbled either. "Run-on" perhaps. Yeah I've been manic, but I've never been a superstar.

"digging like a mole" and then "flying in the sky" ? "Elevation" as a proper noun ?, something other ? Are we talking "elevated mood" here, a paean to manic bliss ? (got the t-shirt) Does anyone know if Bono is a self avowed person living with a bipolar mood disorder, or is the glory of the rock superstar spotlight,(must be a powerful rush) his insight and somewhat conflicted attitude, quite enough explanation ?

Make it stop. I think I'm going to throw up. I feel seasick.

Uh... yeah. Sure, man. Ahem. I don't get it.
I would have to say the CD version on ATYCLB was better.
This was the opening on their last tour... I rocked out and still do at the memory. I also think this mix is way better than the album version. Good choice, RP!

Brought them back from what? Making poor music? Lack of airplay? Lack of media attention? I don't think so...
Aside from the pavlov\'s dog response I get from this song(an instrumental version proceeded the start of every show on the Elevation tour), I give it a so-so/fair rating. Personally, I\'ll take a live version over any of the remixes....or the original for that matter. Then again, i am one of the few how thinks that ATYCLB was just so-so album....likeable, but kind of ordinary.
Best song featuring a small furry animal since Michael Jackson\'s \"Ben.\"
It\'s exciting to hear a remake of a favorite... The original \"Elevation\" is urgent almost to the point of frenzy. This remix is a bit chilled out (and free of the shame that I thought I heard in the original), which makes it just right for radio paradise. ;-)
Absolutely INCREDIBLE song from an album that really brought U2 back. Although...I LIKE THE ORIGINAL BETTER!

Best remix (and version?) of this song I\'ve heard. Thanks, Bill...
Not bad, but doesn\'t quite catch fire like the original.
Maybe its just me, but I love all U2, including this.
Tasty!
Back to back destruction of classic songs...have you no shame!
let\'s stick with the original
