This was a thoroughly good album, far better than most of the grunge albums of the era.  They never captured the same level of songwriting on any subsequent album that I have heard, so it is just too bad that they couldn't keep it going.

6. These guys could have been great, but are firmly mired in that 90s grunge style of raspy vocals and scratchy guitar-work.

Wow ! I'm surprised to hear that and looks it hasn't been played since 2002 !
