If you could only see the way she loves me
Then maybe you would understand
Why I feel this way about our love
And what I must do
If you could only see how blue her eyes
Can be when she says
When she says she loves me

Well, you've got your reasons
And you've got your lies
And you've got your manipulations
They cut me down to size

Sayin' you love but you don't
You give your love but you won't

If you could only see the way she loves me
Then maybe you would understand
Why I feel this way about our love
And what I must do
If you could only see how blue her eyes
Can be when she says
When she says she loves me

Seems the road less traveled
Shows happiness unraveled
And you got to take a little dirt
To keep what you love
That's what you gotta do

Sayin' you love but you don't
You give your love but you won't
You're stretching out your arms to something that's just not there
Sayin' you love where you stand
Give your heart when you can

If you could only see the way she loves me
Then maybe you would understand
Why I feel this way about our love
And what I must do
If you could only see how blue her eyes
Can be when she says
When she says she loves me

You're sayin' you love but you don't
You give your love but you won't
(but you won't)
Sayin' you love where you stand
Give your heart when you can

If you could only see the way she loves me
Then maybe you would understand
Why I feel this way about our love
And what I must do
If you could only see how blue her eyes
Can be when she says
When she says she loves me

Thowing Muses?  Talk Talk? Temptations? Tiny Town? Tesla? Triumph?
i have always loved this song. it's sad, but it's awesome.

Needs less volume compression, more time compression.

Needs a sound system with more wattage than a Tesla Model S.

But you're right, the sound engineer mailed it in on this record.
Good tune!
You gotta Miss the 90's

This was a thoroughly good album, far better than most of the grunge albums of the era.  They never captured the same level of songwriting on any subsequent album that I have heard, so it is just too bad that they couldn't keep it going.
love it

Augh!  Ever since the FIRST time I heard this, I have struggled to get past this!!
If only I kid get past this ... maybe I wid rate this higher than 5...
Wow! I haven’t heard this song in 20 years. Thanks Bill! And yeah, I love the desperation in the lyrics and the delivery.

Yes, this was a great one! Like the desperation in it.

Maybe it's just the name of the band? :)
6. These guys could have been great, but are firmly mired in that 90s grunge style of raspy vocals and scratchy guitar-work.

I miss these years when most music was all dope!  Mainstream was good in the 90's.

I like this song a lot. Like a way-back machine, it brings me right back to very specific place and time that meant a lot to me.

After 000s of years of music-making, what music isn't derivative? As put-downs go, that's pretty, well, derivative and meaningless. Uninteresting to you, fine, fair play to you, one person's sucko-barfo is another's godlike. Personally, this grabbed me from the start and feckin' rocks!
Don't think I've ever heard this. Don't like it.
Pretty derivative and uninteresting.
very nice song coming from the past
Like this tune!  There's also an "unplugged" version out there as I recall.
i totally forgot i had this cd - what a blast from the past!

Why cheezy? Absolutely disagree!

I think it's a gorgeous pop-song with great qualities in all parameters!

LOVE IT - 9!!

Never underestimate RP - Bill will surprise you.
I turn this off when it comes on FM radio... hearing it on RP is super disappointing.
It's a solid pop-rock track, no question. Surprised to hear it on RP. But then, I don't listen to commercial radio, so where the hell ELSE am I going to hear it? So, thanks, Bill/Rebecca.

Yup

This version is much better than the other 'softer' version I've only heard before
this is old and not very good... not the best from the 90's really!...
Wow ! I'm surprised to hear that and looks it hasn't been played since 2002 !

I really liked this song back when it was released. I was 10 and did not know better than modern rock radio songs. Thanks for the memories.

Not a bad song, but too much commercial radio play has killed it for me. I wouldn\'t mind hearing something else by them though.
