Scofield never fails to show me some new noise. I saw him a few years ago. What a treat.

You lucky duck.  I wish that I could have been there too!

I like the Sco collabs, esp w Eddie Harris. also Chet Baker and Gerry Mulligan as a side man...This is why I love RP,  versatile and  eclectic like good jazz riffs

I Agree completely! That is why we come here.  GREAT TUNE!  Thanx RP!
RP has only 3 tunes by him on the playlist.  PLEASE ADD MORE TUNES!!  Thank You!

I Agree!  Also w/ Billy Cobham & George Duke (Live in Europe album)!

If we could rate album covers, I'd give it a 10.  The music, something less.

Totally agree.  The music is a 9.

Music to drive fares to...

7 because it reminded me of the 70's and the George Duke / Billy Cobham connection, -8 for the artwork.... that was completely unnecessary.
If this song would have ended after the sitar bit then it would have been good, but, urrrgh! how lame. Maybe he could have banged on some pot lids too and thrown that in there and stuck it to a drum machine beat.
Hee hee. The Big Rock Candy Mountain indeed. Mostly all right, but the BRCM part sounds terrible. Synths gone bad.

This would be better if it came with acid.
You go sco. In the long tradition of Miles cohorts. A drop from the Bitches Brew. The cauldorn of funk that turned the world on it\'s ear. And sco can keep up. Dot
is it just me or does this sound like a Dr. Mario theme?
I give it an 8. How about some of Scofield's work with Medeski, Martin & Wood?
who gave this a 1? Come on, even if you don\'t like it\'s still a work of art IMO.
thought it was Jeff Beck at first. Doesn\'t it sound a bit like \"freeway jam\"? Anyway I really like this jazz/funk thing.

Aaargh I\'m freaking out!!
Groovy. Dig that dissonance, hear the synth stumble sexily.

And- not to be forgotten, later on he (for instance) played with Miles Davis!
