Can anyone comment on the album overall? Love this track
Yes.
It's a fantastic album.
I've been listening to it since 1986.
Long live everybody just as much as Israel!
Genocides!
RP listeners are a tough crowd for reggae - many other reggae numbers are low-rated. I've been a reggae fan for decades so it's fine by me, and the message is spot on, so it's 7 from the toe-tappin' Nottingham jury.
Right, quite perplexing to me also. Can't understand a 6.4 overall rating with this amazing track.
Super groove from alpha blondie. Long live Israel!!! Omer

I love this song. I remember playing this in 1986/1987, when I first got my driver's license, driving my aged, non-practicing-Jewish-grandmother to "Price-Club" (now Costco). Other than the word "Jerusalem", I didn't make much of the lyrics, having been raised 'non-denominational'.
I noticed that my grandmother was listening intently. She then started lip-syncing the lyrics. She was fascinated by the fact that an African singer was reciting Hebrew prayers. I think she even liked it.
Similar. I was raised Jewish and know those prayers, drilled into me in preparation for my bar mitzvah in 1962.
ברוך אתה ירושלים!
I wish somebody would tell me what "diddy-wah-diddy" means..
If you don't know by now, lady, don't MESS with it.

That story makes me smile

As you have said it goes on and on, but the longer the better if you ask me.
Entrancing.
Catnip,you have a stuttering problem.

Maybe the low rating comes from overplaying this music back in the day. I am also an old fan, and love alpha blondy!
I found this under the PSD button. Have to hit it again.

That would be because it sucks.
Great Coment!
made me laugh OL

I agree with HELGI-GERMANY!
That's why....
Israel may be an occupying country bordering apartheid, but it doesn't deserve such a cruel and unjust punishment as this song.
Hebrew reggae. What a world.

You two should read something about Rastafari and religion. It's not all about Jamaica and da phatty spliff mahn

Irrieye!
(He says, sparkin' up a fatty of BC Bud & Olympic-ally orgasaming!)
Should be followed by 80s Canadian hair band, Platinum Blonde.
Edit - Not surprisingly, it was not....Bill has more taste than that.
Bill rides again.
(And by the way: what about some Ennio Morricone as a follow up? The Dollar Trilogy, I mean.)
Oh yea.................
Yeah this is about right.
What's wrong with just smoking the pot?...mon
Nice knee-jerk reaction there, there's no hate in this song or from Alpha Blondy in general. It's all about acceptance and learning to live with differences.
After all these years, it's getting pretty hard to do something original with the reggae.
I think these guys did that, and very well.
Art Art Art Art Art. It's reggae mon!
Captivating. Reggae isn’t on the top of my list but I do love this!
I Agree! Same here!
