Pressure fried the coldest head
Bent to the side wishing he was dead
And I would still defend
I would still defend
I'll give up on it all
I'll give up on the greed
I'll give up on the ones
Who give up on me
Held up by the poor somewhere
They're unaware but I know we are scared
If I was to give in the fight would soon begin.....begin
So I'll give up on it all
I'll give up on the greed
I'll give up on the ones
Who'll give up on me
Sometimes sun shines
Sun shines
Sometimes the sun shines
Sun shines
Did you give up on it all
Did you give up on the greed
Did you give up on the ones
Who gave up on me
Bent to the side wishing he was dead
And I would still defend
I would still defend
I'll give up on it all
I'll give up on the greed
I'll give up on the ones
Who give up on me
Held up by the poor somewhere

I'm liking it!! If Thom Yorke and Bono had a baby this is what he would sound like.

This whole album is phenomenal.

Must be so. He sounds remarkably some guy named Thom Yorke, whom a bare majority here on RP seem to think is god-like. Personally, I prefer Ours. At least he's droning to music with some power chord testosterone.
Let's be inclusive. Both are Decent at best!

yawnnnnnnnnnnnnn
I saw a great show of this band live with Pete Yorn, and I swore after seeing OURS, I had seen the second coming of Jeff Buckley (of course in a lot of eye makeup). There's been speculation that JBuckley faked the drowning death. hmmm...Great CD!! get it...see what you think

This song has exceeded the maximum allowable number of airplays, by at least a factor of 10.
Yet another song to add to the "WARNING! Burn-Out Detected! Switch This Off, QUICK!" list.
IMHO, such a list should not need to exist in paradise.
bill musta been listening. i haven't heard a lot of Ours in a while. but, i really like them. i bought this cd and i still really like it. had it for about a year now. not sure if that makes 1000 listens yet....

This songs is very similar to Radiohead songs.
Anyway I've heard other songs and they aren't as good as this one.
Good intention, bad performance, in general, I think
total copy of every other sad soul music maker classic... blah.
The guitar theme is a total ripoff of the Radiohead song on the \"Romeo and Juilet\" soundtrack. Other than that their sound is great.
Jeff Buckley lives!!! or something...
is it the bassline that sounds like \"one of these nights\" ? Not sure \'cause I haven\'t heard that song in a while.

Interesting...a riff from what Eagle's song? I'm just not hearing it, sorry. Once you point it out I'm sure it will be obvious though. :)
I bought the album based on this song and some recomendations. I hear Jeff Buckley, Radiohead and a little U2 as well...almost all in the vocals. Alas, after many listens, I\'m not convinced that they\'re as good as any of those artists. They\'re ok, but that\'s it...then again, maybe they\'re just not my cup \'o tea.
Kevin (who hates tea)
Saw these guys live almost a year ago (a friend bought me the ticket, I didn\'t have to pay for it). Very dramatic, tortured performance and very forgettable.
I\'m tellin\' ya.. Bill & RP are hot tonight.. er.. this morning. I\'ve just looked at Winamp.. its been on RP for 197 minutes... for someone like me... in need of Riddlin or somethin\' ... that\'s a long time..
:D :) :D

It\'s just plain crap. I turn it down and forget about the music. By the time I remember I\'ve turned it down, I\'ve missed 3 great songs. ie...this song is so bad it ruins other songs.
Now, back to my game of mumbleypeg.
wow. I actually thought maybe this was the song from the Romeo and Juliet soundtrak... when he's out in the desert cleaning his gun.
the tune was definitely there.
just a great song.
Bill, you must REEEEEEEEEEEALLY like this song. (?)
never again ...please.
Way better than Radiohead?! Surely you are joking or drugged? :)
