Lord, I've got to keep on moving
Lord, I've got to get on down
Lord, I've got to keep on moving
Where I can't be found
Lord, they're coming after me
I've been accused for the killin'
Lord knows I didn't do
For hangin' me, they are willin', yeah, yeah
And that's why I've got to get on thru
Lord, they're coming after me (a-one more time)
(I say) Lord, I've got to keep on moving
Lord, I've got to get on down
Lord, I've got to keep on moving
Where I can't be found
Lord, they're coming after me
(Now, listen) I've got two boys and a woman
They're just gonna suffer now
Lord, forgive me for not goin' back
But I'll be there anyhow
I'll be there anyhow (one more time)
(I say) Lord, I've got to keep on moving
Lord, I've got to get on down
Lord, I've got to keep on moving
Where I can't be found
Lord, they're coming after me
Now, maybe someday I'll find a piece of land
Somewhere not by near anyone
Then I'll send for my love, love, love, love, sweet woman
And my two grown up son
My two grown up son (yeah, yeah ...)
(I say now) Lord I've got to keep on moving ...
Lord, I've got to get on down
Lord, I've got to keep on moving

So much great Jamaican music; riddims, Dub, DanceHall, ska, calypso and yes, Reggae and all we seem to get out here is this Carnival Cruise crap

18 years later, but thank you for this coyotexxx2 wherever you are. I listen to RP because RP is brave enough to put music in front of me that I may not appreciate or enjoy, but I am thankful for the opportunity to hear because I have been given far more diamonds than duds over the years.
Please do not project your feelings for a particular genre of music on the rest of the group.

This is such a wonderful, truthful song. At times don’t we all feel this way? Just got to keep moving on.
all we can do, mon

I agree as well. Lucky Dube was great. It's a shame he's gone.

Totally agree. Lucky Dube was brilliant. Very different sound than Marley. Almost more soulful as hard as that is to believe.

huh...you know what's weird is that even my not-such-a-reggae-fan self heard something odd with that rhythm track...kinda like listening to some of the 'stereo' mixes of the Beach Boys clearly mono originals. I'll rate it a 6 as a borderline tune.
This version of Marley's "Keep On Moving" is an abomination! Original rhythm track replaced by a version done in 1992. Just say no! You absolutely do not f^*ck with a classic like that.

Often true, and also a leading factor in my general dislike of the genre. Right up there with the holier-than-thou religious pronouncements. Not so much in this song, however. Set in Africa (or is the protagonist headed to Africa?), it could be any of a number of tribal or governmental entities after him. Although I get the reference, Far away from Babylon isn't as much a racial slur as it is a Luddite fantasy, and getting Africa to unite has a lot more to do with settling tribal power scores than anything else. (Shub shooby do)Nice!

works for me!
I can't say many songs outrank this gem in terms of its spirit and optimism. Love it...any time!
Love this one. So uplifting for a Monday morning. Thanks RP.
Wow, great to hear a Bob tune that isn't on Legend!
... even if it's on Legend 2...
I think those that hate Marley seem to hate Santana as well, must be something in the groove that is being missed.
I really needed to hear this one this morning.

I like reggae. Every minute of it. Especially the early stuff like Toots that only RP plays.

It would be great to have an RP reggae hour when us non-reggae fans could hit the mute button and grab some lunch. It's not easy planning your life around your radio channel and this would help!

Because this listener digs reggae just as much as any other type of music, In fact when I am not listening to Radio Paradise, I am streaming a live station out of Kingston. Irie vibes from tha Radio Paradise.....

I don't see where you are getting that from -- this reggae song doesn't have all that low of a rating.
not a big reggae fan but I really like the mix of reggae and gospel in this!
It's payback for those of us who have to wait through Pink Floyd. Keep it up, Bill.
