Measuring a summer's day
I only find it slips away to grey
The hours, they bring me pain.
Tangerine, Tangerine
Living reflections from a dream
I was her love, she was my queen
And now a thousand years between.
Thinking how it used to be
Does she still remember times like these
To think of us again?
And I do.

LOVED this album! Might be their best.
Remember that Page said back in the day ,
this album was made to teach CSNY a lesson.
LOL!! TOO FUNNY!!
The vocal sounds buried in this mix.
The vocals ARE buried! It is still an excellent tune!
I really like this song, but every time I hear it I think it could have been produced better.
I agree!
We have a PSD button. Why not a "Repeat" button to play it again?
That reminds me when the radio station in my hometown played Ice Ice Baby 7 times in a row. Can I admit we freaking loved it?! (AND we were Zeppelin fanatics)

I've often wished for a repeat button here, but I think the reason there isn't one has to do with royalties - if rp plays it once but you repeat it 4 times, then that's 4 times the band misses the royalty payments.
I love my Led Zeppelin with some good ol' Y' Alternative pedal steel!

I've wished we had this several times this week.
Today it was 10 freaking songs in a row!
And if it is not Led Zeppelin, then it is Pearl Jam, Mark Knopfler or: Led Zeppelin!
It is about time for a new playlist Bill, please and please reduce Led Zeppelin. 10 Songs Led Zeppelin played one after another is TOO MUCH!
I have the disstinct feeling I am listening constantly to the same songs, in the same follow up, every day.
This is not good and no fun any more!
You just described the best RP day ever.
Standing.
There will never be another band with the depth of Led Zep.
To me this is 9 -OUTSTANDING
There is probably nothing that could make me wish I was 17 again.
Found an original pressing some 25 Years ago at a flea market - the cover alone was worth the 40 bucks!
Go ahead, make me feel antiquated.
I have an original pressing, one of the first records I owned.
Ah yup
Allah Kazam!!! me too : ) Zep's Timeless
Good idea !

EVERY flaming time I klick on "PSD" I have the choice between Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin and oh wait: Led Zeppelin!

Yes, 10 Zep songs in a row; of course!
What a colorful imagination you have.
And the Easter Bunny is real too, right?

Led Zeppelin — Tangerine

Reflects Plant's and Griffin's relationship; Thom Yorke's sometimes comparison to Plant—especially in the high tenor/falsetto range; and a comparison between vintage Plant and Plant today. What he's lost in range and power, he's made up for with depth and nuance.

If Led Zeppelin played 10 in a row when I hit PSD, I'd hit PSD all day long.

Forever linked in my mind to...early 70's when it came out and everyone went, "Hey, a new Zeppelin record!! Far OUT, man!"

miss you so much, Cynaera...
everybody in my mushrooming multitude of churches be dancing buck ass naked all across the holy moly world like bowlegged gypsy muleskinners and B.F. Skinner... we love this splendiferous song... this whole album is marvelous... love sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll...
thank you...
On the other hand, thanks Bill and 'Becca as I just wrote a song and was trying to remember last night the name of the Led Zep song that has a similar chord progression...couldn't do it. Now.... Tangerine!
By the way, the twirly thing in the album cover kept me occupied for about 750 times that I listened to this.
One of my more favorite Zep songs. A 9.
Somehow it comes up short in this segue as the preceeding songs are fuller and richer overall. This version of Tangerine sorta sounds flat or dull in comparison to them.
Granted recording eras an all are different.
Just a passing thought. Not meant to put anyone's undies in a bunch.
Bill's bombshell made me stop working and go off to the report above, which says that although they've not got married they "have been dating for more than a year". WTF? He's 63 (and looks it) and she's a relative youth of 48. Ah well, that's encouragement for all us 'mature' men. All we've got to do is build a rock 'n roll career of fame and fortune, and young women will fall into our laps.
Bill's still referring to this marriage as of today. Apparently Plant's personal website states that they're married.
Ah jes' ken-naught keep up.

Hasn't that always been the primary motivation for such a career choice?

A rep for Plant tells The Hollywood Reporter that "Robert has not married Patty Griffin" and that the rocker was "just referring to the fact that he's been residing in Texas."

Also included on the "Almost Famous" soundtrack. One of the best film soundtracks ever.
I LOVE this comment. Totally agree...
Yep, me too. I think I simply outgrew the music I gathered over my younger years. Thanks to Bill I'm actually listening to REAL music now.
I LOVE this comment. Totally agree...
Yes, I think they were even more innovative than The Beatles and that is saying something!
Then Jimmy's guitar solo kicked in and I got instant goosebumps making me realize beyond any doubt that it's a perfect 10.
me too!
Thanks RP, you get it done every time I log on and you always expose me to new music.
I go no place else on the internet
An "Interactive" album cover!! Try THAT with an internet download kids. Long live great album cover art and liner notes!
just fashion, nothing to do with the music at all I think, just like all these celebrities wearing ramones t-shirts but I bet they wouldn't recognize a ramones song if it hit them in their faces.
There was a high school kid at the rowing club the other day wearing a Dark Side of the Moon t-shirt. I mentioned to him that I saw Pink Floyd when they were promoting that album on tour in 1973. I'm not sure he believed me.
There's even a cycling jersey with the "Dark Side . . ." logo on it. I always think I'll end up with one some day, but they are too dark for safety.
I will admit I still wear my "Maximum R&B" T-shirt I bought at a Who concert in the late 70s.
+10!
