My favorite Portuguese band and one of my favorite bands.
The albums O Movimento and O Paraíso contain several songs I'd rate 10.

I notice some folks liked it so I listened and must say it’s a nice sound.
Sentimental commercial kitsch, this has nothing to do with the 'real' Portugal; anyhow, people like this crap.

And what are your qualifications to assess what is “real” Portuguese music? The artists are Portuguese so they must be qualified, don’t you think?
Fado by real Fado singers/musicians and no, I don't.

What music represents the "real" Portugal, how does this song fail in your view

They were so perfect, I had the opportunity to see them live and the magic was the same. So many textures and this is really the deep sound of Portugal.
So Beautiful this song is ... makes me long to go back to my Acorean Islands : Sao Miguel & Flores.
Hey Bill / RP, try some more Portuguese "Fados" in the playlist.
They really move the soul

Bom Dia! ( Good Morning in Portuguese) Superb Tune!! Thanx RP

EXCELLENT! Thanx RP!

It's neat, when I've been totally absorbed into the music, you folks at RP will play this or something like this, and, yes, you were right, it's time to take a break, slow me down and taste the beauty of our music.
Thanks Bill and all of you!

Beautiful, peaceful. Maybe we should play this in our ear buds, max base, as we part into the flipside, you know, to help encourage the direction of the transfer.

Ignoring this song in playlist it is proven that "the best is the enemy of the good", and that not everything is perfect in the kingdom of rp ......

It's interesting and intriguing how music affects us all in a such a vast range of different ways. But music shouldn't make you angry, and if you feel that way when listening to it, you can just hit skip. It's not an insult to you in any way, unless you want to feel insulted by it. Perhaps your frustration is not from the music, but a sign of something else.... Maybe you want to like the music, but you just can't, and that, is possibly the source of your anger. If you can take a deep breath and accept the fact that you don't like the music, and that that's perfectly ok, and that sitting through it while trying to tap into the feelings it's meant to evoke; the sometimes bittersweet beauty of life, you'll probably see that it isn't going to hurt you,...and you'll be fine.
I know how you feel though. I usually just get over an intense distaste of some music by eviscerating it over and over, in a fun way—but certainly not in the face of someone who really likes it!
