Some perfect stranger
Sneaks on tiptoes
Steals my shadow
And goes where I go

My favourite stranger
Stands in my mirror
Puts words in my mouth
All broke and bitter

Some perfect stranger
My imitation
Drops my name in
My conversations

Some perfect stranger
Speaks when I speak
Walks in my footsteps
And talks in my sleep

My favourite stranger
Stands where I stand
Leaves crime in my wake
And blood on my hands

WOW! What an awesome set of music starting at 6:14pm with Radiohead and I am chiming in at the Depeche Mode tune around 7:40pm.
I took a 20-minute break to get dinner on the table and as I write this, Bill is spinning “Madman Across the Water.”
What a set!! Here’sa suggestion:  Give us the ability to select a group of tunes from the playlist that we can put into our account "library” so we can play great sets, like this one, when the fancy strikes us.
Still one of my favorite bands. Great new track.

This is the first Depeche Mode studio album that was recorded and released as a duo by Dave Gahan and Martin Gore after the death of co-founder and keyboardist Andy Fletcher. Two pairs of angel wings and bouquets of flowers next to each other signify Gahan and Gore's acknowledgment that they too, will meet their demise.

This is an eerie and unsettling track. I like it a lot. Amazing to think that they're still turning out excellent stuff 43 years after their formation.

Saw them live in Portland recently. Show was nothing short of amazing. The energy, passion, musicianship, creative effects/lights, bombastic sound quality at volumes that rumbled the arena.... Better as they ever were IMO. Even though they lost Andy, the years have been good to them. Back with more nuance/sophistication and reflection that only years living on this planet can deliver.

Finally some actual alternative music that is different than mainstream music! A breath of fresh air, just like is was 40 years ago!
Thus is from 2023? Ick.
Dug into this album over the weekend, it is surprisingly great. Several powerful tracks. Check it out if a DM fan.
I gotta say, whenever these amazing musicians get together to make their distinctly delightfully DARK-sounding songs, they take it to The NEXT LEVEL...
Wow, a Depeche Mode song I actually like! Cool!
Would be a great mix followed by Wasteland by The Mission
Strong shades of Roxy music's "in Every Dream Home a Heartache" in this one.

Great job Radio Paradise. A deep cut from their latest album. I just love DM.

Another tune off their most recent release.

Going to hold off rating for now,
but if I did rate it now.
I would be the first.
