You gaze upon my troubled life
But it don't bother me
What you see
You take my name and hang it high
You paint my picture with colored lies
But it don't bother me
What you do
You twist my words like plaited reeds
To mark your gain and help your needs
But it don't bother me
What you say
What truth is told of who I am
Shall break the silence of waters calm
But it don't bother me
Who I am
But if you were a beggar boy
You'd sing of riches you could enjoy
But it, it don't bother me
What they are
I'm a thinkin' now, I'd rather hide
Or turn my back or stand aside
But it, it don't bother me
What I do
'Cause it don't bother me
What a voice she has!
If I could imagine an angel’s voice, it would be like Alison Krauss’.
because of her, because of him.
And their collaboration!
Why is this credited to Robert Plant - I love him , but this is an Alison Krauss song.
Originally by Bert Jansch
I suppose everything is an acquired taste, but this concert was magical for me. These two artists' voices blend perfectly, and the band altogether was incredible.
Never got to see Robert Plant live as part of Led Zep, but I thoroughly enjoyed this mellower, more introspective version of a bona fide rock legend!
--And Alison Krauss .... an angel in both voice and form....
Again, we see Robert Plant's picture when the singer is Alison Krauss. Bill, please fix that on their combined albums. Thanks.
I actually quite enjoy picturing Plant hitting those high registers and doing both vocal tracks on this set all by his lonesome: especially with the current picture where he's got a little smirk on his face.

I'm guessing this is a parsing error in the code for the webpage. The album art says Robert Plant | Allison Krause. That '|" in between is probably being parsed as a line break
Anyway, very nice song as always from these two!
I Hope you know Allison Krauss is the one singing
that's pretty obvious.
That's strange.... It don't bother me.

It was a magical night! Fantastic band, wonderful weather, and the kind of singing/harmony/musicianship that makes the back of your neck tingle! I love Alison Krauss, and it has been a bucket list item for me to see Robert Plant (I was a little too young to see him / Led Zeppelin in their heyday,...)
If you like these two artists, I highly recommend going to one of their concerts.

I see what you did there.
Is the artist here really just Plant - shouldn't it be the duet, Page & Krause?
I concur! Strongly.
Expertly crafted new life for a Bert Jansch song.
thanks for posting that. Good to know where this music comes. Just checked out him and Johnny Marr live. Couldn't understand a word from Bert...but good to know the original. Cheers.
Each and every song this duo sings is dreary. True story.
That's how all lies spread. "It's the Truth! I heard it."

I absolutely HATE this song for some reason, I think its the lilting, whining, vocal style. Love the artists, hate the song.

Robert Plant has some good clapping chops!
Haven't heard anything from this album that I don't like to some degree or another.
Something of a comedown vs. the first, T-Bone directed album, IMO.

So what you're saying is that it does bother you?
Have You Seen the Stars Tonight? Would you like to come on up to A deck and look at them with me?
I think that is Jefferson Airplane's best song. it's a beaut.
