Never met a soul who had no shrine
Keep this all in your mind and get inside my window
What do we become trying to kill each other?
You're faking it son gonna get you tonight
I suck another breath to the hearts of the Revolution
'Cos it still ain't right
Where did all the love go?
I don't know, I don't know (I bet you can't see it)
Where did all the love go?
I don't know, I don't know, (I bet you can't see it)
Can't see the signs of a real change a comming
Take another sip from this hobo's wine
Get yourself a million miles from this concrete jungle
This is a time full of fear full of anger
A hero's exchange for a telephone line
Whatever happened to the youth of this generation?
'Cos it still ain't right
Where did all the love go?
I don't know, I don't know (I bet you can't see it)
Where did all the love go?
Now I don't know why, oh why
The rivers on the pavement are flowing now with blood
The children of the future are drowning in the flood
Where did all the love go?
Now I don't know why, I don't know why
In this social chaos there's violence in the air
Gotta keep your wits about you be careful not to stare
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Where did all the love go?
I don't know, I don't know (I bet you can't see it)
Where did all the love go?
Now I don't know why, oh why (I bet you can't see it)
I like it, although the disco beat gets into my head more than I would like. I gave it an 8 prior, so there is some discordance there.
It grows on you!
eh?
I know I'm going to get criticized for this, but in my opinion, this is a good song severely compromised by the loud clicking sound in the chorus. It should be sitting in the back of the mix. Someone in the control room should have spoken up to set the producer straight.
I think those are handclaps. Maybe somebody in the studio had on their baggy pants and was dancing and clapping ... ?
Love this one. They're one of my favorite bands, and I really hate that Tom had such colossally bad judgment that resulted him getting booted from the band.
agreed
yeah, I kinda do. Interesting.
Hey Bill , more Cope please.
Pattes d'elephant? Use to have some of those.
I don't hear much Julian Cope in this song, but I would like to hear just about any of his music on RP.
Hmmmnn.... does that also mean you dislike music from Spandau Ballet, Massive Attack, Iron Maiden and Catherine Wheel?
Well, yes. With a partial exception for a few Massive Attack offerings.
(And, really, Iron Maiden...? Thankfully scarce here.)
With a handful of rather good 60's-songs,
a good singer,
but not much else!
Y'know, Stingy, you need to get out more. There is a richness of life waiting for you. Go on. Try it.

Disliking music by Spandau Ballet should be the law of the land. Any land.
Where did all the love go indeed.

Thanks, fred - yep, that'd be it. I have GOT to get this onto my MP3 player. I'd dance like no one was watching (except I'd be wearing clothes.) I have no idea whether I'd dance differently if I was nekkid, but we really don't wanna test that theory.
Haha! Now where's your sense of adventure? ;)
You mean like this?

Guh... I don't want to like it, but I can't help myself.
And I'll probably still feel the same about this song when I'm sober.
I think your last comment sums it up.....
And I'll probably still feel the same about this song when I'm sober.
I don't think he has a clue.
And the crazy bananas like it too!!!
:) awesome! Go Bananas!!
Personally, I prefer cowbell.
would probably of gotten some air play then.
DEFINITELY!
T-REX and other 60's bands as well!
I saw them live in Cologne (so-so!).
The band-DJ - before the concert - played
nothing but...
old Who, Small Faces, T-Rex (!!), early Floyd
(the good Floyd, in other words)
Move and simelar stuff!
I must admit - hearing those old songs,
super-loud and in top-clear sound
was a revalation!
It was actually better than the concert!
They brought an extra guitar-player,
because "their man" was unable to do it alone!
Bizarre!
I was one of those who has "promoted" their CD
in this blog, but...
NO, sorry, the band promised more than they can deliver!
Frankly, meanwhile I wonder why they are still on rotation here,
while guys like Mellencamp, Graham Parker and even
Sting are "seldom seen kids"!
Not fair - seen from a musical standpoint!
KASABIAN is an "unfinished" band!

I have tried to dislike this song. My right brain just keeps taking over. This song is very cool. I want to dance. What the hell is happening to me?!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel the same way when the song starts up and then it grows on me very quickly....I think it's the retro 60's sound that does it!
I love those things.
ah-hahahaaaaaaaaaa!!! my '8' bumped it to 6.7!
love this tune. glad this one is an RP staple.
That's ok.... just dance!
Personally, I prefer cowbell.
I feel exactly the same.
Okay, who left the amphetamine cabinet unlocked?
lol
I'm going to have to turn on regular radio so I can hear crap that I don't want to listen to just to get stuff done.
Blur, of course, it was bugging me. Spot on.
Really?
Can see Oasis, cannot see Blur (and I've seen Blur a lot)
Played to death in UK (well on decent stations like BBC6 and XFM) but still like them
Go ahead crockydile - you'll live!!!
yeah! take your chance!!

Still - why always this song, Bill? There are
at least 5-6 other good ones on that album!
Stingray - Why do you always shout in your postings??
No kidding. I was almost scornful of this song at first and now I'm singing and dancing along ...
Same here. Some songs you just have to hold your nose and enjoy!
made me laugh! not because i don't agree. i do. it just made me laugh. (it's also awfully bowie-ie. ziggy veins throughout.)
for the pleasure -
It's growing on me from quite likeable to most excellent! Did somebody see them on a performance?
Oh and yes, I love the brittish accent in this song usually not that perceptible for foreign ears."8+"
Maybe, but the drumming is pure 80's.
