What's the point
if you hate, die and kill for love.
What's the point with a love that
makes you hate and kill for.

You've got a heart on fire,
it's bursting with desires.

You've got a heart filled with passion.
Will you let it burn for hate or compassion.

love love love this song, so poignant and sad but beautiful 💙

A discerning ear can appreciate the subtle yet susbstantive way in which Mr. González's piece derives from The Fugs' 1966 masterwork, Kill for Peace

Noticed the last person said this was boring, so I waited.  Are you kidding?  What a great acoustic blues!
seriously boring

Um, kiss my ass, Poacher.  Romeotuma loves what he loves, and he doesn't bother to post on anything he doesn't love.  What's wrong with that? He's NOT a troll. If he were, you'd see posts like Excelsior's.

Do your homework and don't attack people who just love music.

Thank you.  I will avoid you in the future, because there are songs I'd love to multi-post on, but now I know I can't, because people like you would label me a troll.  Well, crap. RP sucks because of people like you. {#Ass}

I was away from RP awhile and am really sad to hear that some of my old fav RPosters are no longer with us - RIP.

And I completely agree with her comments, and really love the mooning emoticon!  This track is good too...and a very interesting read through the comments on this one....

Passion is not the only strong emotion.
I have come to love his music (and Junip) but it does distract the hell out of me that he intentional includes the background distortion in all his songs. Any insights or perspectives are very much welcome?

I loved the song Jose sang in the Red Dead Redemption soundtrack ("Far Away"), and always like hearing something of his on RP.

If you're not familiar with Far Away, he does a great live version of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q79k-uwBe8U

This song is soooo good it puts a spring in my step this winter evening...

Wow.  Next time I'll take notice when (if?) they come up again in the rotation.  I am not sure I'll be able to stand them though, even though my mantra is that the personal lives of artists is not relevant.  An artist murderer is something I have never confronted before.

Good!

Wouldn't that make it more of a hotel suite?  And what the hell do you do where you live in a Vegas hotel room big enough for 18 people?

  Romeo - you put a silly grin on my face every time I read one of your posts. Um, and how many people do you have in your hotel room right now? Beware of the fire marshall... I know him and he's diligent to the point of obsession...{#Wink}

Saw José when he was in Geneva a few months ago, and he gave a great show. Excited to hear him come up on RP.
Love this track saw him at southbound a few years ago what a treat

Almost, but not quite. As much as I appreciate Hot Tuna Love, I have seen the phrase "putrid butt mud" with his signature attached. Proof that he's one of us, says me.

Ha! Beat RT! Great song!{#Lol}
bumped up one more, just for the message.
I'm with RT - dancin' - well, as much as I CAN, with all my aches and pains. Excellent guitar work and the vocals remind me a little of Ellis Paul (no, don't ask why. They just do.) {#Dancingbanana}
Yes, good tune, nalle.
Anyone else think this rip sounds clipped?
Me gusta mucho! {#Cowboy}

this whole album is great!
I thought this was Zero Seven when I heard it.

Lovely music... I bought this album, and frankly, his voice becomes incredibly monotonous over the duration of the entire album. Best played shuffled with lots of other stuff.

He's going to take Santana's crown  soon as everything he does sounds the same.

This has been a 2 for me for quite a while. I just don't like it. But today as I was reaching for the "play" button, I saw this was on and stopped myself.

That makes it a 1.

Actually, the guitar is very reminiscent of the sound of the African sanza I think.

noir desir....then Jose's "Kill for Love"

respect...
Jose's guitar and voice have become instantly recognizable for me.  Great stuff as usual.

true true.  most of the songs on this album have great rhythmic guitar tracks

a sarah palin visit just wrapped out right outside my window........this song is just such an eloquent expression of so many of the concerns I have about the kind of views she seems to represent....god I hope McCain hangs in there if he happens to win.....she scares me
Oh man, rhyming fire with desire.  Look out folks, we've got a creative one on our hands here!

that's cuz Jose sang for Zero 7 on their album 'The Garden'.  Him and Sia were the 2 big guest vocalists for that one.

ha ha!  Following up Noir Desir, "le vent nour portera", and all the comments about the lead singer who murdered a woman, with a song called "killing for love",  very funny, very dark, Bill!  enjoying your humour!
At first I thought this was a new Zero 7 song. Anyone else hear that?
What is the point? Powerful question. Powerful song.
Like Nick Drake with an edge.  Excellent!

Yes, you can be powerful without screaming.

I´m hearing Cat Stevens "Mona Bone Jakon".

I was thinking roughly the same thing. Love the guitar Next time I'll listen to what he's saying, maybe.
Really starting to like his stuff. Was introduced via Teardrop on a "chillout" CD several years back and haven't heard a bad track from him yet.

CSNY-ish
Good enough to make me look up to see who it is. So I'm giving it a 7 to start.

Six is about as good as I can muster, though I'd like to hear it a few more times to see if I can increase that.
Holy cow... got second post. second post, not as good as first post. Not a bad song... got a 7
Rates a 'pretty good' on first listen...and even a first post
