I walk, I crawl, but I never run
Sometimes I fall away like a setting sun
Well, I swim, I surf, but I never drown
Well, everybody says they love me but I don't know why

I watch you walk like a rhythm train
I love the way you kiss, I just can't stand the pain
Well, I believe in truth but sometimes I lie
Well, everybody says they love me but I don't know why
Yeah, I don't know why
Ooh, I don't know why

Yeah, I don't know why
Ooh, I don't know why
Well, I walk, I crawl, but I never run
Sometimes I fall away like a setting sun
Well, I believe in truth but sometimes I lie
Well, everybody says they love me but I don't know why
Yeah, I don't know why
Ooh, I don't know why
(Don't know why)

What a guy.  He is so down-to-earth, personable, likeable, etc. etc. etc.  Can't help but love him.
I  like it! I do! I'd add emojs but they don't work on my machine anymore.  More  Musselwhite!

I'm at a 7 and might go to an 8 with a bowl or 3 in me....Long Live RP!!

One of the greatest harmonica players.
I can't seem to find the right ones, but I don't think these are the correct lyrics.
Is it me or the sound is very... dirty?

Good to see we're in such experienced hands. I've lost touch with this kind of entertainment, so tell me: do you plan on streaming an MMA match or an orgy? Or does one format segue into the other these days?

Apologies to Mr. Musselwhite.

Who are the players, pray tell?   The drumming in particular is sublime.

Musselwhite of course on harp; Charlie Sexton - guitar; George Reiff - bass; Michael Jerome - drums.

For my money Musselwhite is one of the two dirtiest harp players around; the other of course was the late Paul Butterfield.

I tell you what... sometimes (and only sometimes) RP can be a proper misery fest but the past few hours have been owt but!

Stonking last few hours! {#Dancingbanana}

Only Musselwhite could turn Escovedo into a slow burning Chicago blues grind. Oh, lordy, does this cook.
Very smooth
I'ma have to invest in this CD - I love Alejandro Escovedo (his song "Guilty" is up there on my top ten favorite songs list), and Mr. Musselwhite's rendition of this song is ragged, informal, and just perfect.  Doin' a lot of dancin' today, Bill - is it because it's Rebecca's birthday? I hope you took her someplace very nice, spent bucketloads of money on her, and let her know that everyone worships her.

What?  You didn't?  She wanted WHAT?  Well, geez - I guess saving Paradise a person at a time could be a lot of fun. Thanks to both of you for all the great music I really can't afford but buy anyway. You are the best "bad influence" I've ever had. {#Roflol}
Every time I hear this it grows on me more.

Charlie can do no wrong.
Had it at a 6...what was I thinking?

It's more like the other way around: Alejandro Escovedo first released this song in 1999, and Charlie Musselwhite did so in 2004. Tom Waits released Bone Machine in 1992.
Musselwhite has recorded with Tom Waits on more than one occasion as well.

Ah, a song after my own heart, and soul. I hope this song gets stuck in my head all day.
Played this in the car on the way to work this morning LOUD! . . . and by loud I mean the bass bin was rattling my glasses.

I figure that it is sometimes important to spread good music around.

Arf!
'So delicious.
inspiration for tom wait's "bone machine?"
I don't love him. 3.
Who is this guy that everybody loves him?
"I watch the way you walk, like a river train."

Love that lyric, so evocative, the easy sway around the curvy bends, phew!

I'm diggin' it...{#Bananajam}
Whatever it is, he's got it.
8 —-> 9  Great song!  It rocks, it rolls, it grooves, it's gutsy...

Neil
Nice!!
you know I was going to disagree with you... but on second thought.... you have something there.    two GREAT bluesmen for sure.

There are so many cool things about this station. One of my favorites is waiting breathlessly for the next song, sure that it'll be the killer segue you were thinking of. More often than not, BillG comes up with something better than what you were anticipating.
