Sometimes I get a good run and can identify most of the bands on the playlist for a while then Bill throws a curved ball and I have to get up and look over at the PC streaming the music and find out who it is. Another prime example of what makes RP kick extra Ass - the two comments below this one, in reply to ChrisVIII, all non-Americans and LOVING on BillG's internet radio station "broadcasting" about 700 miles away from me. And that's so cool; really, it's exactly what's GOOD about the internet....making us (the PEOPLE) have an easier chance communicating together in this GLOBAL world we share.

Thanks for all the recommendations - I ended up buying them all - I'm definitely in a Spoon phase! Not sure how I missed them earlier in my listening "career?" I think my favorite overall is Gimme Fiction.
I can't stand this band. I don't know why. I just do. Something about that guy's voice is just grating. Every time I hear a Spoon song come on, I just go "Ugh."

Saw these guys on Austin City Limits recently. They groove just as well live (or better!) as in the studio.

Spoon is one of those bands that really grows on you (me). I have to admit that their sound didn't grab me right away, but after a few listens, I got hooked. Clever song-writing too.
As good a disc as there was last year.
GOD I love these guys! Can't wait to see them next weekend!
