A compromise between honesty and lies
To lead me past, their sly disguise
My moves are slow but soon they'll know
Behind the scenes they grow their schemes
Hiding intentions, revealing only fractions
Their moves are slow but soon you'll know
They'll keep on whispering their mantras
We'll keep on whispering our mantras
My moves are slow but soon they'll know
Their moves are slow but soon you'll know
To lead me past, their sly disguise
My moves are slow but soon they'll know
Behind the scenes they grow their schemes
Hiding intentions, revealing only fractions
Their moves are slow but soon you'll know
They'll keep on whispering their mantras
We'll keep on whispering our mantras
My moves are slow but soon they'll know
Their moves are slow but soon you'll know

The best musician to come from Sweden with a Spanish name! I adore his gentle voice with profound lyrics!
A masterpiece in Gm, following, would you believe it, another gem in Gm....kudos Bill, that is brilliant programming!

Just as I read this comment, I heard the phrase. Startled as I was, I still agreed with your position, tho one could make a case for either alternative.

Lovely key-based seque from the Ozrics track, there.
Perfect

gotta love José.
Calming, pleasant, intriguing
I love the Nick Drake-ishness of just about everything this guy does; BRILLIANT!
Love love LOVE this album !!!
So this album came out in 2009, but comments here go back to 2006? Apparently BillG can bend the space-time continuum as well as spin great tunes.

Saw him in Beijing at YuGong Yi Shan - one of the best performance in this venue. Just him alone and his incredible soft and intimate voice. Loved it.

Saw him play this at University of Utah a few nights ago, great show.
Jose is a great songwritter with a wonderful voice, but the overdub on this album is distracting. It kills the beauty of his simplicity.
"Perfection is not when there is nothing more to add, but when no more can be taken away"
Dig it.
Jose Gonzalez? Isn't he the leftfielder for the Dodgers? If he'd give up that baseball gig and concentrate more on his music he might garner more than a 6.6 rating from all of us RP listeners.

I was driving home from DC a couple of months ago at night listening to this on my mp3 player. I had to take it off so I could focus on the road. The music was that haunting.
That said, this is a fine work of music and worthy of anyone's collection.
Like Elliot Smith (but thankfully alive).

Okay, you may have been tongue-in-cheek with your question, but i couldn't resist... "They'll keep on whispering their mantras."
Actually I think it's "I'll keep on whispering to Mothra."
Which makes sense, because you wouldn't want to yell.
Very mantric anyway.
Quite possibly the greatest album-cover art ever. lol

Great, thanks. Now I can't help but to crack up hearing that.
Eh, it'll pass.
Jose sounds just great.
Caress.

Always loved this song! Something about repeating simple rhythm...

Of this 3-song acoustic guitar set, Jose runs away with it. Wow.
really nice
Nice
Jose is the man, Crosses is much better though
Slowing down my moves is a whole lot easier when listening to this. Sweetl.
I tried to upload this last year but got a "sorry", nice to hear Bill came around.
