I love this whole album, which I discovered thanks to RP. Headphones and chill music for me - without the headphones the neighbours might complain at the volume.
Wish a couple of the other tracks were back in rotation.

This is Bill's party. We are his guests. He asks nothing from us other than to enjoy his eclectic playlist and, if you are so inclined, to drop a few dollars in the glass jar. (You HAVE contributed, haven't you? Otherwise your comment is that much more insufferable.) If you don't like a song, Bill's provided an easy way for you to comment on WHY you may or may not think a song is up to par according to your standards of listening, though I think everybody here will agree that music is in the ear of the listener, and what is a stellar performance to one listener may be sorely lacking to another.

And what do you mean by "a streaming service such as this"? RP is a completely free, freeform program, where you can expect to hear anything and everything. Why would this kind of song NOT have a place here? Which eclectic, free streaming service would you have it removed to? I'd like to check it out. Though frankly, I doubt it could top RP.

You are absolutely right. This is Bill's station and we are here because we like his selection of music. OK, sometimes I am not thrilled by a particular song, but that is a small price to pay for the 99% of wonderful music.

And just to hint  where you might find a song like this, I believe it was featured on Groove Salad channel of SomaFM. That channel leans more to electronic music, but is also worth listening to, if you like that sort of music. And I think a couple of songs I heard here were also there.

I've been looking for the new listener supported radio station that you have created, Ciribomflax, but I haven't found it yet.  I was intrigued as to what you would include on an eclectic music station, and more importantly, how many listeners you would garner with such a station.
. . . still waiting. . . (to see if you caught on)
These are the lyrics of the song, maybe you'd like to include them, BillG?

(spoken:)
A long, long time ago
There was an old man with his children
Living in a mountain village
They lived a very happy life
With only one big problem
They had to climb over a big mountain to go to the field every day
So one day, the old man decided to move the mountain
With his children they began chipping away pieces of rocks
Every day at the foot of the mountain
Wise men passed by and asked him
How can you possibly think you can move the mountain?
The old man said, "Probably I won't
But you see, I have children
My children will have children
And they will continue
And the mountain will be moved"

My future is in China

My future is in China
I’d open a checking account here.

There is a saying in Germany as response for such a profound commentary
"Verpiss dich"
I could totally do yoga to this song.

Agreed...why it's called 'eclectic'.
Interesting comment history. Some comments the latest year, before that 15 years of silence! About time to play this a few times now. A 7 from me, would be 8 if true instrumental.
From this CD, I like the title track the most
Takes me back to some great times and was thinking about this album only minutes before this came on. Love it when the stars align.
The intro sounds like my wife yelling at the kids to load the dishwasher correctly

With you there.  It was a while since I last heard this - it started and I was thinking 'PSD', then noticed I rated it a 7 previously, and kept with it.
Worth the effort - it is a really nice track, once it gets going.
But for the start, it would be an '8'...
This song gets good, but oh man that beginning is hard to take.
This really grows on me. Pass the spliff, mon :*)

This must be about the first time I really wonder: can the effect of THC on the human brain be acoustically emuled?

What an arrogant comment.
would deserve a higher rating if the beginning narration was removed...
Whoa, where'd you find this?
Really enjoying this!

Now THAT is funny!
c.
No lyrics?  Oh man!

I  will seek out
Curious use of a woodpecker in the first half of this one, then he drops out. Why?
I give this a 7 because it is catchy and you can dance to it

You might at least elaborate a bit on why you think "This kind of song has no place on a streaming service such as this".
Ahhhh, ued to have plenty cassettes of BdG, cheers Bill&Rebecca.

I'm fairly certain Bill will be as surprised as the rest of us to learn that he can be dictated to by a listener who appears to have executive authority apropos the material to be played here, and who therefore demands a certain course of action. Presumably you have a heightened awareness of what is good, or bad, and this gives you the authority to make such a demand, without reference to all of the other listeners here.

Hooray! FINALLY some BdG. One of my absilute fave electronica artists, although he has far stronger trippier tracks - I Love Baby Cheesy, Drunk as a Monk, and Drippy for starters(those last 2 fromthe superlative Pi soundtrack) but this is still a solid 9. I had the delightful experince dancing my face off to Toby Marks doing a dj set during a multi venue Vancouver music festival back in 05 or 06; crazyfun shit that mab throws down.
It has a nice flow  the dynamics move nicely along the river current  and we can here the jungle animals , i hear elephants and just now i  spotted couple of camels loaded with Afghanistany jello , it is an amazing trip
Very cool.
Wow - this takes me back...
Excellent with some Sativa!
Indian raga in a new world with a special reverb for new change. Send !
not heard this for a long time. good memories
Thanks for resurrecting this after 13 years.  Exceptional background music.
Cover art: 7. Track: 5 for effort.
"this boy needs therapy..."
for some reason I want to like this song, but it's just not happening.
