Lord almighty, I feel my temperature rising
Higher and higher, it's burning through to my soul
Girl, girl, girl, girl, you're gonna set me on fire
My brain is flaming, I don't know which way to go

Your kisses lift me higher
Like the sweet song of a choir
You light my morning sky
With burning love

Ooh, ooh, ooh, I feel my temperature rising
Help me, I'm flaming, I must be a hundred and nine
Burning, burning, burning, and nothing can cool me, yeah
I just might turn to smoke, but I feel fine

'Cause your kisses lift me higher
Like a sweet song of a choir
And you light my morning sky
With burning love

(With burning love)

It's coming closer, the flames are now licking my body
Won't you help me, I feel like I'm slipping away
It's hard to breathe, my chest is a-heaving
Lord have mercy, I'm burning a hole where I lay

Your kisses lift me higher
Like the sweet song of a choir
And you light my morning sky
With burning love
With burning love (a hunk, a hunk of burning love)
I'm just a hunk, a hunk of burning love
I'm just a hunk, a hunk of burning love
A hunk, a hunk of burning love
Just a hunk, a hunk of burning love
A hunk, a hunk of burning love
I'm just a hunk, a hunk of burning love
Just a hunk, a hunk of burning love
I'm just a hunk, a hunk of burning love
I'm just a hunk, a hunk of burning love

Today is the day we lost you, father, all those years ago—  August 16, 1977...  I miss you so much, dad...  as you used to say in Graceland, it's a long way to Tupelo...

I always love to hear your voice in paradise...  this song is marvelous...

It's always good to hear Elvis on a Rock station.
Something Bill couldn't to on FM Rock radio.
Amazing how this song holds up so well. It is nice having a DJ. I admit we were looking for different grooves yesterday morning, but this entire sunday hit the nail on the head for this household.

Elvis is now my sister, I swear.
Meh.  Fat Elvis sucked.

Oh, and ELVIS HAS LEFT THE BUILDING!

We watched part one of his '70s Comeback Special last week via Netflix. Parts were terrific, other parts cheesier than hell. The former reminded me why he's The King; the latter reminded me why I hate network TV and how the post-Army Elvis was but a shadow of his former self.

I saw him at the Burger King yesterday.
wow, that is not holding up very well.
Get up and dance!

This is great!

Elvis was the first musician I became a fan of when I was a very young child.

I haven't heard this song too often...  it's good fun.

Me, too!! {#High-five} 3rd Grade. Before I discovered Kiss in 5th, then Bowie, Queen and Pink Floyd in 7th.

        {#Crown}   Undisputed !

Dunno why so many dismiss Elvis 70's era - this owns.

With all of the thousands of artists I own and listen to, I have to admit I had never heard that song before. It was time.
Long live The King.
I never thought I'd hear Elvis on RP, but it works! {#Dance}
Can we get some Tom Jones next?
I can't listen to this song anymore without seeing an army of cockroach Elvis imitators singing, "Hunka hunka burnin' love" all over Ernie in Bud Grace's comic strip Pirhana Club.
Hunka-hunka!
SO effin' good! ! !  Keep it swinging, your Majesty! (excuse the weak pun)
I heard the opening licks and could only say... "no way", but once again Bill keeps it eclectic.

A great song is a great song.  Thanks Bill!

I remember seeing the much-ballyhooed live-via-satellite concert as a pup.  When he did this song I remember thinking the guy had slid so incredibly far - both physically and musically.

Yeah and I have a washboard stomach.  It's just doing a load of towels right now...

Supposed to like this. Don't. Give it a 1 because no lower number.{#Frustrated}
I'd like to hear some pre-Army Elvis added to the RP mix.

HUNKA HUNKA
I appreciate more and more as I get older...
