Do I hear Gary Glitter?!
The more I hear this, the more I like it!!  Thanx RP!

When this came on, at first, I thought it was Jungle Line!  I really like this!!  Thanx RP!
Interesting! I like it! I never heard of them before. That is why we come here. . Thanx RP!

Makes me want to dig out Paul Simon (and Perry Ferrell) pieces that showcase such exotic and interesting beats! Thanks, RP, for this!
Pretty cool - I love the tribal vibe and drumming.
Bring out the first missionary - death by BUNGY!!!!  {#Dancingbanana}

The beat reminds me of an old Adam Ant tune... can't remember the name of it...
Hah, just read some of the other comments ... glad to know there are others familiar with Adam Ant on RP!

VERY GOOD!
I appreciate this spate of international music; I get so sick of this country and its smug, entitled, exceptionalism.  This weekend I watched a mesmerizing Brazilian movie - Found Memories, and a deeply humanistic Italian film - Shun-Li and the Poet. I have successfully escaped the myth of americana for the weekend!
Very Dynamic! Great Sound.

Proclivities...thanks for the laugh. No proverb that means such...but feel there should be.

I think both are channelling Burundian drummers.

After living several years in Burundi, I also think that the drums and the voice sounds made by the people of Burundi.

{#Lol} Boy, is this channelling an Adam and the Ants vibe, or what? Cool, though, and attention-grabbing. This would be great for a bunch of half-naked guys sitting around a campfire with a loaded bong :*)

makes almost any other song sound great... I bet it would make a great half-time drum core numbah.
Guy earlier today was griping about the drum solo in Chicago's "I'm A Man" and drum solos in general. Ha! Take that!
enough of this.

That was my first thought too when I saw the title. Ironic that the first comment I read was yours too! Echo both sentiments.

I'm not quite digging this. But oddly, I do feel like chanting out loud at work right now.

Sure did—by about twelve seconds in.

(Actually, I thought it got better as it went along.  Not so bad.)

Not my cup'a-T
Just keep that Afrobeat right on coming.  {#Bananasplit}

Hey, think of the positive aspects.

The Tasman Sea for instance.

The Blue Man Group in Fiji!
Sa-weet. Love this.

Half the fun of logging in to RP is to read the listener comments for some of the less-than-stellar items on the playlist. I wonder if B and R include these "gems" to read what people will post about them.
Best comment stream ever. I started contributing and listening every day after reading this stream right after I discovered RP.
did yoko write the music?
Every track a masterpeace of Afro Beat, a must have in my collection of World Music, not a Putamayo by the way?

This makes me want to make sure my doors are locked.
This band clearly is a major force in the evolution of drum beats.
Greetings, Another band completely unfamiliar to me -- very nice. Neil

Okay, these have to be the funniest comments I've ever read on RP. I'll be sure to tip my server.
this band is very "ground-breaking", but i also heard that they broke up a long long time ago... steven "i'll be here all week"
Lots of drums today! I LOVE it!
One of the worst songs played on RP.
Ok, if the theory of plate tectonics states that at one time the continents were all one does that mean that plate tectonics started at that time or were they all separated into differently formed continents before and then came together only to separate again? This is why the physical location of continents has no relevance to any political correct modern philosophy as alluded to so often. People need to sometimes think things through and not just stop when it suits their agendas. All being one in human condition has nothing to do with physical location.

Yeah. They all just had too much on their plates....
Thank you RP for those two "world" music selections. I have both of these artists in my collection (Pangea and Deep Forest) and they coexist right along my love of The Who, Jethro Tull, Santana, Frou Frou... Nice to see I'm not the only one who appreciates the diversity

An interesting worldbeat track. The AMG Artist Info link is kinda funny, though. For Similar/Related albums they list Dave Brubeck, Jackson Browne, Bananarama, and Perry Como, among others.
You know I was just going to come here and say that this band is like Dave Brubeck meets Jackson Browne meets Bananarama meets Perry Como. What a coincidence.

Such a primordial sound. Gets me deep inside.
Does Peter Gabriel chime in with an uplifting verse in the middle of this song?

Their other track "Water and Fire" which I heard recently, was in my opinion better. But yet again, their stuff oozes with some of the nicest bass vibes I've heard in a long time. Pity I have neighbours below or this would be much much louder

Ahh, one of the MANY reasons I love RP. Our collective memory ... when I can't think of something, and it's driving me crazy, I KNOW someone here will have thought of it already and will remind me. Is this where my dead brain cells have been going all these years?
Oh damn. I logged on during the world music interlude. ZZZZZzzzzzz. This isn't terrible, just not good at keeping me motivated.

Dunno if it was a coincidence or ESP. But the next song in BillG's playlist was Joni Mitchell - The Jungle Vine.... spooky.....

That's very funny! I agree.
the voice reminds me of peter gabriel at times. the beat is incredibly groovy
Very nice! I like the brooding...
WHAT!?!?!?!?!!
nice segue from Santana\'s \"Jingo\"
bass and drum lines remind me of old public image limited (johnny rotten post sex pistols)song off of \'this is what you want/ this is what you get\' album lyrics went/go something like \"when i was born, the doctors did not like me, grabbed my ankles and spanked me like a turkey\" or something

Proud to be the first to say that this song stinks and should not be tolerated on radioparadise.

An interesting worldbeat track. The AMG Artist Info link is kinda funny, though. For Similar/Related albums they list Dave Brubeck, Jackson Browne, Bananarama, and Perry Como, among others. (Maybe they just use a random album generator if they\'re not sure?) :p
