I have never read it and it sounds interesting but at 61 yo I am afraid I will die before I finish it.  Is it as good as I have been hearing?  Is it worth a (rest of) a lifetime commitment?

And my former third grade students. I swear they were all just kids running around the playground or in the back yard at cookouts a couple of years ago.   Amazing.
