Sorry to come off that way, I am actually in a good mood this morning. However I do believe that a lot of their leaders are fundamentalist in particular the Mullahs in the Islamic countries. What is going on in Africa is an already culturally embedded fear of homosexuality being exploited and inflamed by fundamentalist evangelicals and as noted before some of them American in origin. As far as the Hindu and Buddhist regions of India and Asia, I admit I don't know very much about what is driving them and was surprised to see these laws in place in those regions.

Actually a couple of years ago I saw a documentary about evangelical missionaries that have been working hard in Africa for some time now pushing this shi'te. Looks like their efforts are sadly being rewarded.
