Seattle, as the number 1 seed, will host the lowest seeded team from wildcard weekend.  The opponents aren't known until the games are over.

In baseball, they set the bracket and play it out.  It's how Mariners, as the #2 seed in the American League, hosted the last team to make the playoffs (Detriot, #6 seed) in the second round while the #1 seed Blue Jays played the #4 seed Yankees in round 2.  In the NFL, The Mariners would have played the Yankees.

What an amazing Wild Card Weekend. Every game a nail biter with crazy big plays. Almost seems scripted it was so good. 
The energy at Gillette Stadium for the Pats game was OFF-THE-HOOK! Of course they had all day to get lubed up for the game, but it was great to see. Been awhile.

I don't watch the NFL a whole lot but definitely enough that I'm surprised that I've heard the term "10-second runoff" for the very first time today. I thought it was a new rule but it's been around since 1955! Of course, the rule can only be applied in the last two minutes of a half or OT.

So...when was the last time an NFL team won the Super Bowl with a QB with a mostly white hair beard?
