I caught an hour long concert of Elton John and Leon Russell.  Very painful to see Russell - bloated and he could hardly sing.  Very sad.

It was on the "fuse" channel.  it loks like it will be repeated several times, worth taking a quick look but not that good.

I guess I wasn't paying much attention at the time ('71), as my lottery draft number was something above 300 and Nixon had declared a wind-down to the war. Coupled with the McNamara documentary, "The Fog of War," this film (which debuted last night) is a fascinating look at the abuse of the Executive Branch and an important Supreme Court ruling assuring our First Amendment rights.

All they really did was make a 2 hour excuse to get rid of a couple minor characters left over from the hospital merger.  If they only had shot Meredith it would all have been worth it.  Well now she can go back to being the boss's spoiled wife.

I only started watching it at the beginning of this season to have some water-cooler talk with my then office mates and got totally sucked in.  I tried to watch at the very start and thought it was boring.  I have since caught a lot of the old eps on Lifetime in spurts and have the gist of all the back stories.  Its a total drama-fest and I'm always ashamed to admit I watch, but I do, religiously.  I really liked the finale (assuming a total and complete suspension of disbelief)... nothing and no one was sacred, which was kind of nice compared to some other, more trite episodes.  Although I thought Meredith's storyline was totally random and unnecessary to the main plot - they could have used that for another multi-episode arc at another time without taking away from the show.  As if there wasn't enough drama in a gunman shooting up the joint? 

I don't think I said too much for the DVR folks.  I am currently sans DVR and forced to watch commercials and stuff.
