I remember them from my old surfin' safari days tooling down PCH looking for waves. Right around one of my favorite breaks, Tamarack.

Spring and early summer. The tulips were a sight to behold. The colors !

Debbie and I went to Carlsbad (California) a couple of weeks ago. She wanted to see the huge acreage of flowers they grow there. It's gotten so popular, you have to make a reserved time slot to visit them. Acres and acres of flowers everywhere...
